Sending You a Smile

It's Thursday, so we have another sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS51. I loved the large oval panel and knew I wanted to use some Easter egg die cuts. I also wanted to use the new papers found in the Spreading Spring Cheer pack, so colorful and bright.
I colored the sentiment and flower found in the new Spring is Here digital stamp set. The last things I added were a little cloud die cut and some tufts of grass.
Be sure to check out the My Time Made Easy blog to see the sketch for yourself and to see even more inspiring deisgns from the rest of the Design Team. You can also check out the newly released products here.

Favorite Peeps

I wasn't able to participate with February's Viva la Verve sketches, but thought I'd try the ones for March.

I had to make a birthday card for my niece, Victoria, as she has a birthday coming up. She is obsessed with the color green so I knew I had to include it. I purchased this cute li'l peep image from the Silhouette Store and thought it would compliment the sentiment I wanted to use. I just printed it and then used my Cameo to cut it out in the shape of the label.

The peep was stamped with the background image from Verve's Wishful Elegance and then just mounted with boosters next to the sentiment. The papers I chose offer plenty of sunshine and cheer.

Dancing Dancing Dancing

I was asked to make a card for my boss's daughter's friend from dance class. It just had to have a dancer and then rest was up to me.
I recently purchased some dancer cutting files from the Silhouette Store and decided on a
spinner card. The dancers form as too thin to use as the spinner itself since I had to make it so small, so I just glued her onto a scallop circle.
I designed the whole thing in the Silhouette Software, but made the spinning channel a little to large for pennies, so I have to use quarters instead. The holgraphic paper is my absolute favorite part of the card, it looks so pretty with the theme. I especially like that it makes a rainbow of colors and everything matches it. LOL
The sentiment is from Verve, Wish Big, and I just stamped it prior to assembling the card.

RAK & Birthday Goodies

My sweet friend, Anessa, sent a crazy cool ice cream scoop and 2 very large padded envelopes full of paper to me some time back and I've neglected to blog about it and I feel just terrible.
She also sent 3 replacement blades for my Cameo for my birthday and included this very special birthday card. She has the best embellies!

If you haven't visited her blog, you simply must. She's talented, smart, witty, and just about the kindest person there is.
And, Allison sent this lovely card and cute stamp set as well. She really knows how to work with Bacic Grey's papers, I am so intimidated with them. You can find Allison's amazing work here.
It seems like all this stuff arrives right when I need it most. It's been pretty crazy here for a few months and it's finally starting to even out. So thanks for thinking of me ladies, it means more to me than I can tell you.

It's the Little Things

I wasn't able to post my card before the deadline, we've been having thunderstorms and lightning off and on for the last 2 weeks. The last few have been pretty severe, so we turn off all the electricity and brace ourselves for what's coming. Much of the time I am sending up silent prayers for the safety of my family, community, and our home.

This week's sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS50, is one I'll use again and again. You can leave it very simple as I did or dress it up.

I wanted to use flags for my strips and was really itching to use this raspberry color, so pretty and spring-ish. The sentiment is from All a Flutter and the image is from Puckered Up Patterns which I embellished with some silver pearls.

You can see the rest of the team's inspiration on the My Time Made Easy blog.

You might also want to check out the new release from My Time Made Easy; the templates are amazing and the Design Team really shows them off. The new papers are soooo pretty too. You can see it all here.
