Winobella

I made another New Year's Day card with Winobella. Isn't she fun and stylish!!?!! My girl, Anessa, sent me some super cool Bella images some time back. Thanks girl!!

Here is the detail shot:
I don't know if you can see all the sparkle from the clear AtYou Spica glitter pen, but I colored her dress, hair, and the glasses. The papers are from SU! and BG.
Hoping for a quick day at work and enjoying my day off tomorrow. Hope you all have a great and Happy New Year! Any big plans? We normally stay in, away from those that are drinking too much.

Bella's Retail Therapy

Another quick card, this time using a Bella image from Anessa. I ruined two of the images coloring too heavily. The sentiment is from AmyRStamps Amy's Boutique Sentiments. Very fitting.

I am hoping to get my tree and decorations taken down today after work. I usually have it done a few weeks into the New Year, but I am going to make a new tradition to have it down before the New Year. LOL

My Final Monday at ATS

I am trying to make a few Thank You cards for those who showered Cody with gifts, there are quite a few to thank this year. He really racked up!!

This card uses Gingersnaps Snowbunnies from CC Designs available at All That Scraps. They are so cute and they are so fun to color.

Here is the detail shot:

I found out that my nephew and his wife are expecting a son sometime in March. I haven't heard what they have decided for a name. I am excited for them despite their ages.

Cody and I have been having fun playing MarioKart. I have been kicking his behind when we play against each other...LOL.

Don't forget to check out the ATS blog, it's my final Monday as their December Guest Designer. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope that they did too. Thanks once again Amy and Christine for the honor and the opportunity!!

Stripes are Slimming

ETA: Please pray for Allison and her new baby, Avery. You can read the story here.

Just a quick card for Jen's SFYTT this week. The only stamping is the flowers and sentiment on the top Rose Red panel.

Yesterday we took Cody to a field to ride his 4 wheeler, he's still really cautious (thank goodness), but he is starting to explore a little further away from us. We've talked with him about scouting an area before taking off to play. So far, he seems to be listening to our advice.

Merry Wishes

I forgot to share this earlier in the week. This is the package that contained the key for Cody's BIG gift, his 4-wheeler. The idea for this came from the Chic N Scratch blog. I don't have the Top Note Die (that will be changing soon), so I used the Curved Rectangle Megabilities instead. Cute and quick.

My attempts at sponging the edges are improving slightly.

Cheers

I received several Bella images from my friend, Anessa. Her very favorite color is alien green and this card is a homage to her for her generosity and my adoration for her. The papers are from a MM paper pack and the patterns, while pretty, are a little bold and overwhelming. I think they look sophisticated with Winobella.
Here is the detail shot:
Hope you all had a pleasant Christmas and are enjoying this time with family and friends. We spent some time with Duke's son, Jason, and his fiancee, Tina. They helped Cody with his Wii games, Jason got him the much sought after MarioKart. Unfortunately, a few of his games require the nunchuk which we could not find. We don't play the Wii very often and Cody is less than careful with his belongings. So, we are on a mission to find it and also to pick up another set to make it easier and more fun to play together.
He had a great time on his 4-wheeler and I am thrilled to say that he is an excellent rider. I was worried, (let's face it, I still am), that he wouldn't be careful. But, he was cautious and was constantly checking to make sure we were watching him. I'll be sure to share pictures later.

From Tracy:
From Sharon:
From Michelle:
These are all the beautiful handmade cards I received this year, I love them! Thanks ladies and have a very Merry Christmas!!

Snow Bunny

This is my entry for this week's SFYTT from Jen. I used an image given to me from Lynn Put, who just so happens to be Jen's Guest Designer for this month.

Here is the detail shot, hopefully I stayed in the lines. I always love to accent the bellas with stickles or some other form of sparkle. Hopefully you can see the stickles I put on the brads.
Well, just some wrapping tonight and waiting as impatiently as Cody for Santa. We also have to bake the cookies. It brings such joy to see him smile!

I hope each of you has a very Merry Christmas!

A Winter Mailbox

I have a few of these Target mailboxes remaining and thought it would be the perfect container to give a small gift to the mailman. Inside are some Werther's Originals candies...YUM! I also picked up some cupcakes and cookies for the Post Office, I get many packages throughout the year and they are always really good to me.

The image is from CC Designs Sugarplums Snowmen available at All That Scraps. I didn't wrap paper around the flag, too hard and I never get it right. I used the Curly Label punch for the flag. I tried not to go crazy with the ribbon as my mail person is a man, not sure he'd appreciate all the frou frou!

Woot! Woot! Only today and 1/2 a day of work tomorrow , then off for 4 days; I hope to get lots of time with my family. Just veg and stay in our jammies.

Adore

I used TECC47 for this card, fun sketch. The papers are very old and are perfect for the Valentine's holiday coming soon enough. The cupcake is from the set Cupcake Occassions by Cookie Crumbs for CC Designs. I used pink puffy paint and some crystal laquer on the cupcake itself.

Don't forget to check out the ATS blog today for another Monday feature as their December Guest Designer.

Very short work week this week, then preparing the house for Santa. I have cookies to bake and carrots to ready for the big guy and his reindeer. Plus we have to sprinkle the Magic Reindeer Dust all over the yard.

Make A Wish Angel

This super sweet and cute image is from the Gingersnaps Line at All That Scraps. I love them!! I used the sketch from AmyR for this week- AMYRS51.
The backgrounds were made with PTI sets, Polka Dot Basics and Background Basics-Stars. It's a nice change from Christmas and Christmas colors. This will be going to my niece, her birthday is on the 27th.

Movie Munchies

Sorry for the bad photo, I couldn't get a good one because of the shiny nature of the popcorn bucket. I gave these to two of the fellas at work, the bucket has Reese's, Snickers, and some gum. The package in front is a mini micro popcorn.

Sadie and Pepper

This is one of my favorite cards and is currently being displayed at the ATS blog. The image is so cute! *Sorry for the repeat, but I have nothing new to show you.

A little shopping is in order later today and then the rest of the weekend to finish some projects and stamp. It's been a while.

Only two and a half days of work next week, yippers!! Then spending the time with my boys and their new toys!! LOL I just found out last night that Cody is getting a 4-wheeler on Christmas. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it.

Ashley's Stocking Stuffer

I made this to house some lip gloss for Cody's girlfriend, Ashley. If you don't recognize the template, it's from Lauren Meader for Paper Trey Ink. Really quick and simple while making a great presentation. I didn't embellish much since it's going to a 7 year old, LOL.

I got my new camera last night and am trying to get used to using it. It's a Canon XSi!! Definitely not a point and shoot, so I'm having a little difficulty with the settings, etc. I hope to have the basics down before Christmas.

Our work Christmas luncheon is today; should be lots of fun!

Beary Box Sketch #7

I used Winter Bear from CC Designs yet again, love it! I really liked the sketch this week, perfect for the labels dies.

Trying to wrap up on the Christmas shopping. Going to get the last few for the boy and then that's it. Are you done yet?

Happy New Baby

Using AmyR Stamps for this one, available at All That Scraps; I also used this week's SFYTT from Jen. Pretty simple and straight forward.

Got all but one of the Christmas gifts for work delivered yesterday. Still have to do something for the publisher. I'm thinking ice cream cups with all the trimmings for he and his family. Then, onto something for Cody's teacher and his bus driver. Not much time, so much to do.

A Sketch From AmyR

I used the sketch for this week from AmyR, amyrs50. I again used a snowman from CC Designs; got a few more Christmas posts remaining.

Here is the newest post from the ATS blog with me as their December Guest Designer.

Hopefully, this week will go by quickly, I am ready for the holiday and the time off! I have only a partial week next week, yippee. Then off for New Year's Day!

You can check here for some more exciting news. I didn't make the Pink Cat Studios DT, but am scheduled to be a Guest Designer in the summer.

A Snowman Cupcake Challenge

Don't forget to check the ATS blog today, it's my third week as their December Guest Designer.

I participated in Taylor's Cupcake challenge for this week. I used snowmen from CC Designs, Sugarplum Snowmen and Snowy Scenery sets. And, lots of stickles, it's really sparkly!

I managed to get all of the stuff bought on Saturday; going to try to get all the gifts wrapped and packaged for my co-workers this week. Nothing big or major. There are still two folks left that I am clueless as what to get them. I'm thinking homemade banana muffins or something similar.

A My Time Sketch

Short post for today, lots to do.

I am glad to have been able to participate in Lauren's sketch challenge this week, it came together very quickly...thank goodness. I, again, used a snowman from the latest release from CC Designs, available at All That Scraps. *Yes, the sentiment is crooked. The SAMJ moved on me! Gonna give this to someone who either won't notice or who loves what I make.

My First Published Card

This is the first card I had published, you can find it in the Double Issue at Scrapbook News and Review.

Planning on shopping til I drop later today, hopefully getting everything on my list.

Snowflakes are Kisses

I used a snowman and the sentiment from CC Designs Sugarplums Snowy Scenery, available at All That Scraps.

I tried the same colors as a card I had done earlier this week, just love the Aqua Mist with Dark Chocolate, so pretty. While they may not be typical Christmas or holiday colors, I think they exude a feeling of warmth and coziness.

I get to finish the Christmas shopping this weekend, yay for me! I'm not entirely excited about the thought of shopping with the mobs, but at least it will be done and I can rest for the next two weeks. This is the closest to Christmas I have ever still needed gifts, normally my shopping is done wayyyy before now. I hate it, but my life is far busier than in the past, gotta face it.

Hoping my plans for the weekend come to realization. I have some projects that I need to get done, fast. The folks that I work directly with are off for two weeks at the end of next week, so I gotta get cracking on their gifts. I am so far behind, but it's stuff like this that motivates me.

Lily's Christmas Wishes

I used Lily for the Beary Box sketch this week. It's a really fun one! Be sure to check the blog for this week's fabulous prize just for participating.

We're almost done with the magazine at work, probably going to upload late on Friday. Yippee, another one down. Then, somewhat quiet for the mandatory 2 week vacation for the folks that I work directly with. I'll still be working, lots of stuff to update and get ready for the next issue.

Relaxing Gift Set

I used a sketch from Maria Bell for the card as well as the pizza box, which holds bath crystals. I made this for a friend who is totally stressed out right now; lots of family stuff going on.
Trying to get as many gift sets made as possible, after all I am doing mostly handmade gifts this year. So much cheaper, but certainly not less time consuming. Thankfully, my list is not terribly long.
Don't forget to check ATS for my Guest Designer post for this week. Also, just got some more good news, a card I submitted to Scrapbook News and Review is going to be published next month. Woot! Woot! Hope you can check it out.

Astro Billy

He's such a cutie, right?! I have been wanting to make a card with the little space suit from Pink Cat Studio's Dress Up Billy since I got this set so long ago. Just love it! If you can't see from the photo, I put crystal lacquer on the helmet.

Don't forget about checking the ATS blog for my feature this week.

Winter Bear and a Friend

I just love this image from CC Designs Winter Bear, it's too cute and lots of fun to color. Don't forget to check the ATS blog here today, it's my second week as their December Guest Designer. Woot!

Got my car cleaned out yesterday, man that feels good. I also had to make some more Christmas cards; Duke took all the ones set aside for my co-workers to his. So, starting over and now I have about 15 more to make. Thank goodness I have adorable Christmas and Winter stamps to use.

Cody and I made some Banana Nut muffins yesterday for breakfast and they were delish. Just picked up the little box of Jiffy mix at the store yesterday. I wasn't expecting much since they are so inexpensive, but they were quite good. We had to add the nuts to the mix because they sell it plain. I usually try to dress those up anyway.

From Our Funky House to Yours

I used AMYRS49 for this card, great sketch for larger images; I used the second largest Labels 1 die. Same as her, I used the house image from CC Designs Sugarplum Snowy Scenery.

Well, last night was Duke's last night of work for a few months. He's officially laid off. He is hoping to get some work done around the house during this time, and maybe even catch up with family and friends. Working that awful shift has really done a number on us and on him. He has to sleep during the day, not great on family life.

Will have to clean my car today sometime, it's filthy and I am totally embarrassed about it. It's supposed to warm up a bit, either way it has to be done.

I {Heart} Winter

Another image and sentiment from the latest release from CC Designs and available at All That Scraps. This one is from Sugarplums Snowmen. I used Lauren's mytimess13 for this card. You can also see the new Labels 2 Nesties.

Not much going on today, hoping to get some stamping done. Finish up some handmade gifts and watch some holiday tv with the boy.

Today is the day that the card I had published will be coming out. You can check it out here. So excited.

Got Snow?

I used AmyRS48 for this card, you can find it on her blog here. I used the newly released Sugarplums Snowmen and Snowy Scenery sets for this one.

Hoping the day flies by, I am ready for the weekend!

Beary Box Sketch #5

I really liked this week's sketch, but was in a quandry about the swirls. I don't have any chipboard shapes because, frankly, I am intimidated by them. So, I pulled out some rub ons from SU for this element and am quite happy with the turnout. Don't forget to link up your card if you want a chance to win this week's prize. You can go here for all the details.

I am hoping for a nice quiet weekend to finish up making some ornaments as well as a few gift tags for the office gifts. The two sales gals that I work for/ with are buying the coffee mugs and a small little something to go inside of them; I am in charge of the tags. I hope I can handle it. LOL

Cody and I will be going ice skating with one of my friends from work and her granddaughter. Cody has talked non stop about ice skating since Sunday, so I am taking him again.

Duke has been threatening to paint the inside of the house; hopefully it'll be done before I get home as I hate to paint. Love it when it's done, but hate to be part of the process. It'd be great to have the house looking fresh and new before the Christmas holiday.

Snowboarding Brandon Gift Card Holder

I used a new release from Stampin' Spot Studio for CC Designs available at All That Scraps. I used a tutorial from SCS Technique Lovers Challenge, TLC196; a pop up gift card holder. This is what housed my nephew's gift card for his birthday. I thought the image very fitting for a party at a ski lodge.

Oh, and in case you didn't know; go here for some great news for me!

I have a couple of big days at work coming up. A huge mailing has to go out tomorrow, then updating the database to record who we send the letters to. FUN!

Sweet Little Cupcake

Go here to see some exciting news! I am still super thrilled!!

I let the colors in the dp determine the color scheme which is super bright! The cupcake is from Cookie Crumbs called Cupcake Occasions; available at All That Scraps. I just love this set, super versatile with a cupcake for nearly every occasion. I coated the pink frosting with Diamond Glaze and some Martha glitter.

Well, my boss has sent on the Guest Designer announcement to our home office with the hopes that it'll be in the monthly company newsletter. Too exciting.

Winter Bear

This card uses a new set called Winter Bear from CC Designs available at All That Scraps tonight. It's an adorable set and ranks right up there with my favorites. And, if you head over to their blog, you'll see my surprise.

I was, and still am, really excited to have been asked to be their Guest Designer for December. In fact, I may have squealed and been unable to quit smiling for weeks. I have had, and still am having, a blast working with these stamps, hope you like them too. Thanks Amy and Christine for this most wonderful opportunity.

Ok, so the image was colored with copics and then cut out with the Labels One Nesties, love them. I really like Aqua Mist with this Dark Chocolate color. Can you believe no ribbon or brads? I just added a bit of stickles to the cap for the embellishment.

So, my nephew's birthday party was great. Cody had a fun time on the ice and then wandering around the ski lodge. Of course, he wanted to be with the BIG kids but he's still too small, poor guy! All in all, it was nice and tomorrow we face the harsh reality of returning to work and to school...yuck!! Ah well, won't be long before the Christmas break is here and we'll have some more extended time off. Cody is out of school starting on the 19th of December.
