Join Me For Some Good News and Some Not So Good News

This image is from the Coffee's Brewin' set from H & M Stamps, so is the sentiment.

This is my take on Lauren's sketch for this week. It was a fun one, perfect for these smaller horizontal stamps.

Dakota lost his hair over the weekend, he's upset, as anyone might imagine. But, it touched my heart that Nicholas got his hair cut short when Dakota had to. He goes in to the hospital again on Monday for three days of chemo. We had a scare last week; his blood count was down and they were prepared to do a transfusion on Friday. Once they tested him again, his levels were normal. But, because of the low blood count, he hadn't been able to have visitors. He is, however, getting tons of support from all the cards he's receiving. Thanks to each of you who have sent him something special.

Well, today is the start of my hours being reduced at work. I'm down to a 32 hour work week, at least until we are up in sales. I'm praying it doesn't last long, but am thankful that I didn't lose the job completely. I love it there and really need the forty hours.

The good news is that I had two more pieces picked up for publication! You can see them in the March issue of Scrapbook News and Review.

Hey Tina,

I really like your card I am so sorry to hear about your nephews hair loss that sucks for the kids. I am an RN and have worked with Cancer kids on oncology and they are the best kids in the world to work with!!!

My girls have been growing their hair out for a couple of years now so they can cut it and donate to Locks of Love.

I see you have started the card preview at the top of your posts I love that it is so much fun!!!

I am so sorry to hear that Dakota lost his hair and can't have visitors. I continue to pray for him. Should we send cards to you for him? I'll get one out this week.

I hope your hours go back to normal soon.

Hi Tina. Your card is adorable and I wanted to say that I am sorry Dakota and your family has a rough week. I have been praying for him and I will continue to do so. Your other nephew sounds like a sweetie too. How nice of him to think to cut his hair. :) Sweet kid.

Congratulations on both of your publications Tina. I'm so sorry to hear that Dakota is upset but we really want him to get well! As soon as the chemo is over and done, his hair will grow back again. High five to your son for lending his support, this shows that he has character:)
Our economy is so sad right now Tina. Hopefully things will pick up soon and so will your 4 hours.
