I used the AMYRS56 sketch for this card as well as Candy Lane dp and the Love You Much stamp set and punch. Super easy and I am sure you'll see this sketch again this week.

Soft Sympathy

My friend Barb, from work, lost her mother on Monday. This is the card I made to offer condolences from our office. The Out on a Limb set from Paper Trey Ink is just perfect for these sorts of occasions.

The papers are from the Sabrina line of MM, so pretty and chic. I just love the colors.

I am thankful it's Friday, I'm so ready for the weekend. Nothing planned, but it sure will be glad to just be at home and do nothing.

Another Origami Box

I made this for Becky, my friend at work. I still have to make a few more for at least two more ladies at the office.

My nephew came through surgery well. The tumor was the size of a ping pong ball and wasn't attached to any nerves or muscles which is very positive news. We should hear something from the pathologist by Friday. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Just a quick and simple card as I haven't been having alot of time to create these days. Where does the day go? The good news is that my latest SU! order will be delivered on Friday and I'll be able to play with new goodies over the weekend.

Cody got bit by a dog on Monday night. He was at the sitter's house and her DH absentmindedly let the dog inside and it went straight for Cody. Poor baby's left *cheek* is completely bruised and has a small puncture in it. He told me he didn't want his booty to be black & blue, unfortunately it was already too late.

Also, please pray for my nephew Dakota. He is going in for surgery this morning to have a tumor removed from his jawline. The doctors aren't sure what it is, we are all just praying with all we have that it's not cancer. He's 11 and he's absolutely scared to death.

Jumbo Clip Bookmarks

I made these for my friend, Becky. She works with me and was so sweet to gift me Eclipse, the third book in the Twilight series. Can you tell I'm obsessed? Anyway, when I couldn't find it, she managed to track it down and secure it for me. I am so grateful to her. She admitted to me that she reads several books at once and I immediately thought to make her a few different bookmarks. Hopefully, they are to her liking.

I finished the final book in the series, Breaking Dawn, on Sunday night. I read for nine solid hours, only taking small breaks for laundry and other duties. I am so glad to have read them and I love the core of the story, such a sucker for love, I suppose. Now, I have to wait until the movie comes out on video since I didn't have the chance to see it while it was still in theaters. Becky and I are going to have a girls movie night, and will be swooning over Edward the whole time. LOL

Arms Open Wide

I used Jen's SFYTT for this week. I should have used paper with a more whimsical pattern, but all in all it's not hideous. The black cardstock has been embossed using a Cuttlebug folder.

Cuppa Love

I just adore this cute little image from the Coffee's Brewin' set at H&M Stamps. Very simple card, not alot going on. Gonna make this a short post, lots to do today.

Tons of laundry, other housework that has gone ignored while I have had my nose in books. I finished Eclipse and have started Breaking Dawn. I enjoyed Eclipse more than New Moon obviously because Edward was in it more. Hope I can drag this one out for a bit, not sure when Midnight Sun comes out.

Lovely Thanks

I used the current Mojo Monday sketch, #70 I believe. I also used the Oh So Lovely set from SU!, I just love this set. The flowers are so pretty. Anyway, it was perfect for the long rectangle part in the sketch.

I have started reading the third installment of the Twilight series and hope I can pull myself away long enough to take care of my family and house this weekend. Nevermind that I need to make a card, it's been 5 days after all.

I used Mercy Kerin's sketch, MTSC27 to be exact. I had been wanting to try one, and since I had a snow day earlier in the week, I did. It was a fun sketch that I am sure I will use again. It's pretty self-explanatory, except maybe you can't tell that I added Crystal Effects to the coffee cups.

I'm trying to play catch up at work, lots of stuff got behind because of the snow day. But, I will admit that work is cutting into my reading time. I have finished the first two books in the Twilight series and will be picking up the other two later today. They are highly addictive and I can't seem to put them down. In fact, I am making one of the girls at work read them so that I can talk to someone about it. LOL Edward is dreamy!

The snow is all but gone, leaving behind just small areas where the sun doesn't shine much. I don't really care for the snow and cold and am thankful that it doesn't last long here. Cody is out of school again today, which leaves him only going to school tomorrow...maybe. He's loving it up until he gets bored. He's be honing his MarioKart skills, getting ready to race me. I do so poorly on it these days....I haven't had much practice time. LOL

Cody and I ended up with a snow day yesterday, we got about 4 inches at home. The road I take to the main road is always treacherous, but we can usually make it out. My biggest fear is going down our driveway and then getting back up the thing. We have a steep grade and most times it's just not worth the risk to leave the house.

Oh Happy Day

I want to give a huge Thank You to Danni for helping me out in making my blog three columns. Lynn posted a website for directions and being the tech tard I am, I couldn't do it. So, I shamelessly begged Danni for assistance and she had it completed in about one minute. Thanks so much girlie!!

Bella Celebrates

I used Taylor's TECC51 sketch for this card. The papers are sheets of a paper pack from MME, it's just gorgeous with lots of color.

I just lazed around yesterday after grocery shopping. I made a few cards so that I can be ahead in my posts. Nothing like being prepared; especially since I can't seem to do that in any other area of my life.

Oh, and I picked up the Twilight book. Just through the first handful of chapters so far. I usually can't put them down once I start reading, so we'll see how it goes.

Love Angel

We decided on dinner at Applebee's last night because The Olive Garden was packed with a huge wait to be seated. The food was great and it was really nice to have a good meal with my fellas. We even went for ice cream afterward.

My BFF from high school sent me some flowers and I got some gorgeous handmade cards from my PSF's, Jenn D and Danni. Thanks girls. I will be sure to post them soon.

Happy Birthday To Me

Here is the origami box I meant to have photographed and edited yesterday. I'll show the box open soon, I haven't gotten it finished. The felt flowers were a great find in the Target Dollar Spot.

I will be taking this to work and using it to store my little binder clips I use infrequently. It's much prettier than the original packaging they came in.

Angels Among Us

ETA: It was an ordeal to get to work today. My car overheated, don't understand this since is was 3 degrees. So, I had to wait for the car to cool down, stopped at a service station and purchased a gallon of water. The attendant told me I needed anti-freeze, which I knew but couldn't find. I ask him if he has any, uh...NO! So, I fill the car up with water. Unfortunately, the inside of my car NEVER got warm, so I was frozen solid after being in the below freezing weather for more than 45 mintues. Good grief! Thankfully, I had hot cocoa, oatmeal, and an incredibly warm space heater waiting for me at work. I am not feeling the love for this card, but I am posting it anyway. I used SC211 for this card, you can find it at SCS under the Card Sketch category. I hardly ever play along in the week that the sketch is posted and I am hoping that is something I can change. The stamp is from H & M Stamps, I got a few sets when they were $5 or less. They are great quality stamps that give a perfectly stamped impression. I am certain I will order from them again. And, you can see the new stamps and punch from SU!

I'm trying the Origami Box posted at SCS on Monday, what a nifty little project. Just waiting for the glue to dry and figure out how I want to decorate it. You'll get to see it tomorrow.

My friend, Barb, from work will be taking me to lunch today at Johnny Carino's. I can hardly wait! They are entirely too good to me there.

Monkey Love

This is my interpretation of the sketch from Beary Box for this week. I loved the layout, but was perplexed by the "trees". I decided to go with hearts, covered them in stickles and called it done. You can see that I stamped on the ribbon, and that it feathered a little. I'll try a different ink next time and see if that makes a difference. Well, with my birthday on Saturday, the boys are trying to figure out what we are going to do. We typically go out to dinner and that's it, no gifts for the adults anyway. Hopefully, they'll choose The Olive Garden...it's one of my favorites. Last year, they took me to Red Lobster. I rarely partake in shellfish as Duke is so allergic. Well, he decided to try the shellfish anyway and became VERY ill. His face swelled up and he could barely talk because his throat was swelling as well. Almost cost us a trip to the emergency room. Needless to say, he said it wasn't worth it!! So, I won't tempt him with shellfish again.

I used some clear rhinestones and purple stickles for the dots on the wings. The paper is from MME 8x8 paper pad I picked up on Saturday.

I made some chicken fried rice last night, it's really good. Duke has taken it upon himself to learn to use the food processor. Let me tell you, it's great to have all the veggies chopped up and waiting. We're trying another chicken recipe over the weekend. Of course, he and Cody will be taking me out to eat for my birthday on Saturday.

I found the felt flowers in the Target $ spot, such a great find. I also picked up some paper and a few packages of brads. Can't walk away from those.

I have been trying to do a little extra math work with Cody so that he doesn't have to be in intervention for it any more. They re-tested him in Math and Reading by himself and his reading score more than doubled, so he's not having issues there. Math, however, he struggles with. He has to work with double and triple digits with no regrouping (carry over), as well as recognition of how the number should be spelled. That is where he is struggling.

I used super cute images from AmyRStamps, Amy's Boutique and Boutique Sentiments. The heart is from Paper Trey Ink's Limitless Labels. Guess it's a not-so-subtle Valentine's Day Card. The colors match much more closely IRL. The TECC50 sketch from Taylor was perfect for these images, love it when a plan comes together.

I cut my knuckle on my paper trimmer yesterday, it's the third time in as many weeks. Suppose I am getting in too big a hurry and not paying attention to what I am doing.

Cute As Can Bee

I used a sketch from Amy R, AMYRS53. Cody and I spent the better part of yesterday on the road, so I needed a quick easy card. This sketch really came to the rescue.

I used this super cute image from CC Designs Bear Hugs. I just love the chubby cheeks and their whimsy. I added some stickles to the wings.

Cody enjoyed the birthday party Saturday night, it was held at a bowling alley. He got to see some of his t-ball team members again, it was a sort of reunion. We haven't seen most of them since July, so it was nice to catch up. I have to remember to sign him up again in March.

Thinking of You, New Stamps

This is my take on the Mojo68 sketch, a lovely one. My image was a little too big, but I hope that it works. Plus, there was lots of coloring under the panel, too bad you can't see it. I roughed up the edge of the white mat, just to give it more of a masculine look.

An Apple for Your Birthday

The weather here has been yucky for over a week, lots of rain. There is massive flooding and trees are being blown over. While we need the rain, we seem to be getting it all at once. Go figure. Maybe this means that the rafting companies will have a great year, they sure need it.

Hello Friend

I used Jen's SFYTT for this week, a very challenging one. I had to think about what to do with the skinny rectangles, and in the end, pulled out this older set from PTI. I used some bold colors as well. Can you see the stickles on the butterfly body? It just added a touch of sparkle.
