PMS Inspiration Challenge

Monday means another challenge from the PMS blog. This week our challenger is Shaela, she chose this website for us to find inspiration. I chose this cake because of the bold colors.

I used Swirlie Tree, then punched some flowers and attached them with some shiny silver brads. The white background was embossed as was the sentiment once I airbrushed it.

Hop on over to the PMS blog to see that the other girls did, they always rock it out! I sure hope you play along with us this week. When you upload, be sure to use the keyword PMSMC26.

Plant Your Own Garden

Here is a card I made for MTSC36 and the Color Challenge at SCS. The quote is one from Paper Makeup Stamps.

Quite a simple card without alot of frills, but pretty nonetheless.
Getting geared up to watch True Blood tonight, only a few more episodes left. I'm gonna miss it between seasons.

Dreck Has a Birthday

Here is a card I made that fit the following challenges: SFYTT, ABC Challenge-circles, There She Goes 17-birthday.

I used up some scraps of my favorite MM paper, and this cutie, Dreck. I definitely loved how simple this sketch was to use, came together on its own.

Hope you are having a fabulous Saturday!

Inspring Rain

It's Freebie Friday! Head over to the PMS blog to get yours today.

This card was made for the SCS Inspiration Challenge IC191 as well as Amy R's sketch AMYRS73.

I had alot of fun with all the layers on this one and also had the chance to use the Drippy Goo punch. Looks like rain too, I suppose.

I used the Raindrops and Rainbows set from Paper Makeup Stamps, fun set with great images and the perfect quotes and sentiments. And, the Pink Flamingo paper was too fun to pass up.

I'll Just Be Me

This sentiment was a Friday Freebie on August 14th. I love it.

This was also made for the Color Throwdown Challenge #55 and for Mercy's sketch MTSC34. I love her sketches and her style. The backgrounds were made with PTI's Retro Backgrounds, and the triple bow was made with the Bow Easy.

I am looking forward to the weekend, nothing special planned. Hoping to find some time to chill. The boy has been enjoying the Wii as of late, my Mom gave him a game that he loves. Although I am not a big fan of TV as a baby-sitter, it has been kinda nice to have his time occupied when I don't necessarily have to be present. A little momma time is nice every now and then, especially since I am not feeling well.

QKD Inspiration Hop

If you have arrived to my blog on your own, you are missing the QKD Inspiration Challenge Blog Hop. If you have come from Penny's blog, you are on the right track. If not, I encourage you to start HERE to see everything from the beginning.

I pulled out my trusty Paradise Found stamp set and used it with the soothing colors found in the inspiration photo. Man, don't I wish I could be there! Naturally, I was inspired by the colors, especially all that white space, and of course, the tropical location. Loved the pop of the purple flowers too.

Now, hop on over to Vicki's blog to see what she has in store for you.

This is my boss' birthday card, he's having a pirate party for his 60th birthday. He and his wife are going all out and celebrating in style. In fact, it's a costume party and if you're not dressed up, you have to walk the plank.

I used Billy from Pink Cat Studio, he's already dressed for the occasion. I colored him and then used my new labels nesties to die cut him out. The papers are from MM and are some of my favorite of all time, I so wish I could find more of it. I love the colors and patterns.

I am not feeling much better, thanks so much for the well wishes. It seems my viral infection has now become a sinus infection. I am on some cough and sinus meds which seems to be helping me keep it under control. I may have to make another trip to see the doctor.

Need a Cuddle?

Monday brings a new challenge from Paper Makeup Stamps; this week Mindy gave us a sketch challenge. Those are always my favorite types of challenges.

I was itching to use Teddy Fairy again, he's so stinkin' cute! I thought I was pretty clever using the strips as suspenders, even used nesties to cut the buckles. Cute! I am loving the argyle embossing folder too, so comfy.

We would love it if you could play along; did you know that you don't have to use PMS stamps? But, Katie is giving a digi freebie away every Friday, have you gotten one yet? If you decide to play along, please use the keyword PMSMC25 when you upload, we'd love to see what you do.

The Makeup Fariy

This card is for Mercy's sketch challenge, MTSC33, and for the Color Throwdown 54. I used Katie the Makeup Fairy.

Love the colors in this Cosmo Cricket paper, not sure of the line...Amy? All that piercing takes some time, but it sure adds some interest.

Don't forget that today is Freebie Friday on the PMS blog, you don't want to miss it. You'll also be able to see how the DT rocked it out.

So happy today is Friday, what a week it has been. Hoping the weekend finds me rid of this ick I have.

Friendship Is Comfort

Still loving the Pink Flamingo papers from Stampin Up. This was for the SCS sketch challenge from a few weeks ago.

I airbrushed the sentiment panel and added black Kaiser rhinestones to each of the corners.

I am still not feeling 100%, but I am getting there. Went to see the doctor yesterday to learn that I don't have the flu, but have some sort of other virus that they cannot treat. Yeah, I was not a happy camper at all. But, I am going to work as I used up what was left of my vacation more until June. Totally blows!

Aloha Spirit

Today is Queen Kat Designs blog hop, our challenge was to use pink and aqua. I added a little bit of black to the mix as well.
If you've come from Penny's blog, great. If not, please start here to see everything from the beginning.
The hibiscus flowers are from the Paradise Found stamp set, the sentiment from Aloha Spirit. I used some fun designer paper as well, perfect for the images and for the challenge, which is always good.

Now, hop on over to see the Queen Kat herself, Vicki.

Hope Is

I just love this image, Hope Awareness Fairy. The ribbon can be colored specifically for your cause, I think that's just too cool.

I paired her with this colorful paper from SU called Pink Flamingo, love it. I also used Opal Shimmerz on her on her wings, so shimmery and pretty IRL.

I apologize for not visiting blogs and/ or commenting. I have been really sick and spending most of my day nursing my sore throat and coughing. It's awful and I feel just terrible. I am hoping to get it out of my system over the next couple of days, but I'm not sure it will cooperate.

PMS and Cupcakes

Our challenger this week is Meli, she is alot of fun! She chose the colors blue, green, and black which is right up my alley. PMS is also sponsoring this week's Cupcake Craft Challenge which is to make a card with something sweet. I used Lily, what's sweeter than a fairy with ice cream?

Hoping you find time to participate, there are some stamps up for grabs on the Cupcake Craft Challenge blog. If you upload for the PMS challenge, use the keyword PMSMC24.

Oh, and head over to the PMS blog for to see what the other gals did with this challenge!

Unwelcome Occupants

Caught this little bugger last night right after bedtime. You may remember that a family of raccoons has lived around our home for the past few years and we have made the mistake of feeding them. Needless to say, this and at least one more have found a way into our roof and have made themselves a home there. Nightly, they fight and make so much noise that you wake from a dead sleep. Finally having enough, we borrowed this trap from my dad and are setting them loose into the park, far away from the house.

He tore Duke's plant to pieces trying to get out.

On My Couch

I was so happy to get this set from Paper Trey Ink, so homey and comforting.

I had colored the images some time back and finally decided to make some cards with them. I chose this super simple layout along with some fun colors.

Today is Duke's oldest son, Jason's, birthday! Off to wish him a Happy Day!

Oh, and Vicki is having a Design Team call, check it out here. Good luck!

Hope Believes

This card was for the OCC Challenge a few weeks ago which was to use shades of purple. I immediately thought to use Hope Awareness Fairy, isn't she a beauty?!

I chose the colors from the designer paper from PTI, love those polka dots and the new In Bloom papers.

I am so happy that today is Friday, I have so much to finish up. I have to make the samples for my next copic article, take the photos, and edit them. Thankfully, most of my samples are complete (did that Wednesday), it's just a matter of photographing and editing. Then sending it off to be polished.

And, I volunteered to scan photos of my boss for his pirate birthday party. Whew, I'm tired already just thinking about how much there is to do. I wasn't thinking that they would have that many photos, I was wrong. Ah well, the extra cash will come in handy.

PMS Release Party Challenge

This is my take on the PMS Release Party challenge which was to case a card from the PMS gallery, changing at least two things.

I chose a card from Andrea Vernagus, and I changed a number of things but kept the layout. I enjoyed spotlighting, something I had never done, but always wanted to try.

There is a contest going on as well, be sure to check out the PMS blog for all the details.

QKD Sketch Challenge Blog Hop

If you have arrived on my blog directly, you are missing this week's Queen Kat Designs blog hop. If you have arrived from Penny's blog, you are on the right track, otherwise start at the QKD blog to see everything from the beginning.

This week we have a fabulous sketch to be inspired by. I chose to use We Scream For Ice Cream since it lent itself perfectly for the sketch. Of course, I colored the glass with copics and then put on some puffy paint for the whipped cream. The strawberry is part of the set and once it was colored, I just cut it out and used a dimensional to place it on top.

Your next stop is the Queen Kat herself, Vicki. I am sure she has something wonderful to show you.
