Eeeekkk! It's Halloween!

My sweet friend, Michelle, stamped some of these cute images from The Angel Company for me. I like that they are smaller, but still full of detail.

I used some Halloween papers from Hobby Lobby, a ton of brads, and some flat back orange pearls as embellies. The sentiment is from AmyR Stamps available at All That Scraps.

Hope you all have a Happy Halloween and all that candy doesn't rot your teeth.

And, don't forget to swing by Paper Makeup Stamps webstore for this week's Countdown to Christmas sale; 31% off Spellbinders products. You can see all the deets on the PMS blog.

Makeup for the Weekend 4, Treat Box

This week's Makeup for the Weekend challenge is to make a treat bag/ box. I knew what I wanted to do, but realized in my design process that I had not needed any stamps. Uh, gotta stamp. So, I used the PMS Swirl on the oval die cuts. It truly did add some dimension and brought the pumpkin to life.

I just used a square piece of cardstock and scored at 2" all around, trimmed the corners, and put the box together. It ended up being larger than I wanted, but I just had to find lots more filler and candy to place inside. The ovals and leaves/stem are Spellbinder dies.

The treat bag was filled with some caramels and then tied with some gingham ribbon (my fave these days). It was then finished off with a button and some jute. I consider myself button challenged, but I managed to use one with it not looking so bad.

I hope you can find some time to play along with us this weekend. If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword makeup4theweekend03. Also, be sure to link it up to the PMS blog so we can all see it.

Winter Wishes

This little guy is from the Snow Happy set available now at Paper Makeup Stamps. I adore snowmen, so this set was a must have.

I airbrushed around the image with a very pale blue for a bit of added color and then matted it with a labels nestie die. The final touch was a bit of bling.

Find Some Shade

I made this for a feature called Three of a Kind at Scrapbook News and Review, the premise is to have three different staffers use three different techinques with the same stamp. I used EP to emboss the image and sentiment from Odd Bird Planet.

The papers are from Cosmo Cricket and October Afternoon. I have to say that this Pumkpin Pie color is definitely growing on me.

This little cutie is Holly, she was released earlier this month from Paper Makeup Stamps.

I colored her to match the papers found in CC Jolly by Golly collection. The sketch came from 2Red Bananas, such a classic.

I am so happy to have the day off tomorrow, what an exhausting weekend. We had a Halloween party to attend, dinner at my uncle's, and doing all the usual household chores. I'd like to say I'm gonna get some rest, but I have loads to keep me busy.

Happy Harvest

I made this for Jen's SFYTT from this past Saturday. It uses stamps from Gina K and Paper Trey Ink.

I colored the basket of apples with copic markers, I think this is my very favorite image from the Gina K set. I believe this set is the August Stamp TV Kit, I won it from participating with the Color Throwdown blog. I airbrushed a very light sky around the apple basket, then chose the rest of my color palette from there. The last touch was some ribbon threaded through the tag die and some flatback pearls were used as accents.

My Best Friend

This quote was the Word Art Wednesday quote from Paper Makeup Stamps, you can still get it here.

This is also my entry for this week's Color Throwdown, CTD65. I had a terrible time with these colors, but think I finally found something that worked.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

Scented Geraniums

This was published in the July issue of Scrapbook News and Review. It was for a Manufacturer Spotlight of My Favorite Things.

They are one of my faves, so I jumped at the chance to participate. I used some fun colors, nice and bright. You might not be able to see that I airbrushed the image panel very lightly. Gotta love that airbrush.

Hoping for a long, restful weekend. Hope y'all have a great one!

Merry and Bright

I made this card for the JUGS3 Color Challenge and the C4C7 Sketch Challenge from Saturday, October 17th.
You cannot see the snowflakes I stamped onto the Aqua Mist panel because I have one of their defective ink pads. Unfortunately, I didn't put it on my last order, guess I will need to before long.

I enjoy these colors together, especially for a holiday card. I have decided not to send out Christmas cards this year, I have had so much going on. I had intended to stamp some each month, but that never happened either. There's always next year, right?

I used Snow Happy and Season's Greetings Holiday Sentiments, I adore both of these sets, so fun and festive.

Friendly Flowers

This card is for a sketch at The Sweet Stop and also for the OCC challenge from a few weeks ago.

I am really loving these colors and patterns together, especially the light blue. I used Friendly Flowers once again, it's just so versatile.

Cody is getting his Fall school pictures taken today, let's hope he remembers his "good" smile. You just never know with him, he has the attention span of a gnat. LOL

What's Cookin'?

I blame Amy, she taunted me with this stamp one time too many.
This one was just begging to be paper pieced. I am trying to make an apron to match for a friend of mine. Unfortunately, it wasn't done by her birthday, so I am hoping it's ready for Christmas.

Live Like It's Heaven

I made this card for Mojo107 from a few weeks ago. I love the blues with a punch of red. It really sets the design off.

The white background is embossed and I also used a punch that cuts and embosses at the same time. I love it. The quote and the flower are from Paper Makeup Stamps. Once stamped, I used nesties to cut it out.

How is it that the weekends are such a blur?!

Eye Adore You

I made this card this morning for The Sweet Stop Sketch with a spin, SSS26. The spin was to recycle, so I used a Crystal Light drink cup. This also qualifies for the 2Red Bananas challenge to use black, orange, and purple; and for the Corrosive Challenge #34, to make a Halloween card

I had several of these Crystal Light cups saved for a project Cody needed for school, he had a seed project in which he had to collect seeds and label them, then present them to the class. So, we just put seeds under the containers, then glued the cups down, and labeled them.

So, I added the googly eyes and the candy eyes for a little extra emphasis on the "eye" part of the sentiment. The sentiment is part of the Monster Sentiments set from Paper Makeup Stamps.

And yesterday, Katie launched the 3rd week of the Countdown to Christmas Extravaganza. You can see all the details HERE.

Makeup For the Weekend, ATC Challenge

The challenges for Paper Makeup Stamps have moved to Friday! This is our first Makeup For the Weekend Challenge, we do hope you'll join us!

Our challenge this week is to make an ATC card. It was quite the challenge for me as I have never made one. There is a tutorial at SCS, in case you are interested.

All I knew is that ATC's measure 3.5 x 2.5, pretty small. Here I used the snowflakes from Snow Happy and the sentiment from Season's Greeting Holiday Sentiments. I am in love with those snowflakes and of course, the fonts in the sentiment are just perfect.

I allowed the sentiment panel to hang over the edge of the ATC, thinking it'll look just divine on a card.

If you find time to play along, please use the keyword makeup4theweekend01 when you upload to any public gallery. Then, just link your card on the Paper Makeup Stamps blog so we can take a look.

Just Dance

This is for the sketch and color challenges at SCS from last week, SC249 and CC239.
The color are so soft and pretty together that I just kept everything simple. I debated on coloring in Marissa, but in the end I am happy that I left it alone.

I'd Pick You

This card is for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge 42 and for the Color Dare 37. I decided to go simple since the colors are a little overwhelming.
The sentiment and image are from the Friendly Flowers set, I absolutely love it. I managed to use more of the PTI paper that I love, hope you are not sick of it.

Sleepy Head

This card is for the Color Throwdown 63 and the Paper Pretties Sketch challenge 73. The colors are so rich and I just love them together although I will admit I had to think long and hard about it.

I decided to use Jashen and some brand new GinaK cardstock and paper that I won at from the Color Throwdown blog. The cardstock is just scrumptious!

I stamped and then used nesties to cut him out. Then, I slathered on some stickles; it is super sparkly IRL.
