Where Flowers Bloom, MTSC66

I used Mercy's sketch, MTSC66; I love the tilted panel. I stamped Caliope for this one, that flower must smell glorious. I thought she was a great match for the papers I wanted to use. The sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the dp, hope you can see it.

English Country VLV

This is my final entry for March's Viva la Verve challenges. We were given a sketch but had to chose our own inspiration. I chose this kitchen.

The flower is from Feel the Sun and I decided to paper piece it as well as pop up a few of the layers. One of the leaves and the top portion of the flower are raised with dimensionals. The nesties shapes were cut with my Cricut, I then stamped this sweet sentiment and added the flower before adhering to the card front with more dimensionals. I toned down the white in the ribbon with a warm grey Copic marker to better match my papers.

Little Pink Flowers for You & Me

This is for the 4th week of Viva la Verve challenges; you are provided with a sketch and a photo to be used as inspiration. I used Feel the Sun, I love this little flower, it's so pretty.

Here is the inspiration I chose. I found some Cosmo Cricket papers that I felt like were a good match to the inspiration piece. I decided to leave the flowers light pink as in the apron and just chose similar colors to those found in the rest of picture.

The school dance went as well as could be expected. At least the boys were dancing for part of the night; my son danced the whole time, only taking small breaks to get something to drink before heading back onto the floor. Unfortunately, boys will be boys and he started playing more with his friends than entertaining his date, but all in all, they each had fun. He's already excited to attend another one.

Garden Variety SC273

This was made for the SCS sketch challenge, 273. I used a slew of papers from Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety pack.

The stamps are from myStampBOX, this set is called Funky Flowers. I stamped the grass border onto the green dp, but you can barely see it; then I just cut tiny little snips with my scissors and then fanned it out a bit to look like blades of grass.

Inspired M4TW21

This week, Randee challenges us to be inspired by the sun. Well, this challenge was right up my alley!

I used Sprout, she's my first love. She is what drew me to Paper Makeup Stamps, ahhhh bliss! Anyway, I hope to get some plants, flowers, and a small herb garden going this year. So, my "sun" inspiration is planting. The sentiment is part of the Fairy Sentiments set.

The dp is Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety, love this pack. I'm not sure if you can tell or not, but I airbrushed around the image with a very light blue since I did not want to mat it.

Head on over to the PMS blog to see a few samples as well as links for all the other Makeup Artists participating this week. We hope you can find inspiration in the sun and play along with us this week. Use the keyword M4TW21 when you upload; then link it up to the PMS blog so we can take a look see.

And, I still have some stamps for sale...c'mon, help me out! LOL

Wish I Had One of These

A cleaning fairy! How 'bout you? When I think of how much more I could get accomplished if my house didn't look like a construction zone every week, it can get a little depressing. It sure makes me wish I had a housekeeper or at least could wave my wand and have everything back in order. Ahhhh, a girl can dream!

Used some fun American Crafts paper, it's a pretty good match for Rose Red and Tempting Turquoise cardstock. Again, using some of the bright, summery patterns. I am so ready for the sun and heat to make an appearance.

Still have some great stamps available, just click here.

It Wasn't Me!

This little cutie is Chomps. Looks like he's been caught sneaking a taste of a flower...but, it wasn't him! The sentiment is part of the Monster Sentiment Set, lotsa good ones in this set; and they can even be used with images besides monsters.

I chose some really bright, summery colors; I am so sick of winter I could just.....well, you get it. And, I added some Crystal Lacquer to his eye.

Today is my honey's birthday too! I'm hoping to take him to dinner and forget about "stuff" for a bit.

And, I still have some stamps for sale HERE. I'll be listing more as I go through them all.

Feel the Mojo130

I made this for last week's Mojo Monday sketch, Mojo130. It was a teensy bit intimidating, but I had an idea about what I wanted to do. I used Verve's Feel the Sun and Wishful Elegance set for the stamped panels.

I used my Cricut to cut the circle elements, then just added some pearls with Viva Decor's pearl pens. The flower is popped up for some dimension. I just love how intense and vibrant the colors are.

Simple Congrats

I made this for a special order. They just wanted a simple congratulations card with confetti like colors. The inside features the Top Note die and then a rainbow of colors along the top, stamped with the speckle stamp from SU Branch Out set, I just didn't remember to photograph it.

The weekend sure shot by quickly, as always. But, the birthday party we went to was fun and it was great to see our family. With the bad weather and our bad luck, it's been difficult to re-arrange schedules to include everything conveniently from before we were a one car family.

I have several stamp sets available for purchase HERE.

Punch Drunk TESC102

I made this for Taylor's Sketch from a few weeks ago, TESC102. I used three different punches total on this card, some new and one not. I've used some more American Crafts paper that I received from Shaela and I'll be so sad when it's gone. I love it so.

The stamps are from Verve, Floral Symphony. I thought this cluster looked playful and was a pretty good match to the flowers found in the paper.

Green Joy, CIC9

This is for the Think Green color challenge at Clearly iStamp. I went a tad literal for the challenge, most everything is some sort of shade of green here.

I just love this flourish set, it's so elegant and playful.

Paper Makeup Stamps is having a huge sale, you can read all about it here.

Good for the Soul

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I completed my second week in the Viva la Verve challenges; they provide a sketch and some inspiration. I chose this black and green kitchen.

I used a bevy of Verve stamps too: Wishful Elegance, Express Yourself and Leaves (Plain Jane). And, they look so good in black and green.

Cody is going to his first school dance next week, he's somewhat torn about whom to ask. I think it's about the cutest thing ever. I'll post pics once I get them. We have to get him a hair cut before then however, it's getting outta control.

Red Roses

This is Moody for Flowers and I will say it again, she's so fun to color. I went with a super simple layout since the colors are so bold.

The Best

I used lots of new stuff on this card. First, the paper is some I received as part of a Secret Admirer swap within the PMS DT family. My admirer, Shaela, sent lots of good stuff; the American Crafts paper is part of that gift. I love AC papers!

The fairy stamp is new to me too, her name is Melody; as is the sentiment stamp (March PMS release). Of course, she's colored with copics and has stickles on her wings. Lastly, the border punch and big flower punch are new additions to my stamp space as well.

Reason Enough, M4TW19

This week's Makeup for the Weekend challenger is Maria; the challenge is to use red, blue, and kraft for your card or project.

I went super simple with my card. I stamped Swirly Tree in white ink directly onto the kraft card base. Half of the blue panel has been embossing using the Swiss Dots folder; then it was accented with a border punch and some ribbon. The final touch was some red rhinestones.

We hope you play along with us. If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword M4TW19 so we can take a look! You'll need to link it to this post as well.

Viva la Verve, Week 3

Today's card is my third for the Viva la Verve challenges in March, I haven't posted my second on my blog yet...it's coming. You can get all the details for the challenge here. Duke picked up some new Verve-y goodness from the Post Office yesterday, so I took full advantage and inked a few up just for the challenge.
This is the inspiration kitchen I chose, mostly inspired by the colors and the bling on the chandelier.

The papers are from October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket, I think they are a pretty good match for the photo and for my image.

Down on the Farm

This little sweetie is Nell, she was released Sunday along with many others. She's stinkin' cute and of course, lots of fun to color.

The papers are from Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry and I used SC269 for the card layout. The birdhouse can be found on the SCAL forum and is credited to Nichole Heady.

Don't forget that there is a new Makeup 4 the Weekend challenge posted today on the PMS blog, it's a good one, you don't want to miss it.

Easter Treats, JUGS22

I made these boxes for a friend of mine and her family, there are two of the smaller boxes ( I only photographed one). Lucky for me, the JUGS22 challenge was to make a 3-D project. I got this SVG file here, it's so stinkin' cute and they were a snap to put together. I love that I can make them most any size depending on what I intend to package inside. In this case, I am sending Easter candies to my BFF and her family.

The papers are from Martha Stewart, I am loving the spring colors and fun patterns in this pack. Once the box was assembled, I just tied some ribbon around it. I even attempted the scrunchy layered flowers I keep seeing. I only used 6 layers since that was all the paper remaining from my scraps, it's still pretty full.

LIttle Things TESC101

I made this for Taylor's sketch challenge, TESC101. I thought the flowers in this Petals and Stems set really lent itself to using buttons for the flower centers. I am not a button person, but I am trying to branch out and try things when I can.

Still using up the Cosmo Cricket Early Bird pack, goodness, I love that paper. The border is a SVG file I got from the SCAL Forum.

Gift to Go Template

Isn't this just the cutest shaped box, oh my word! I got it here, she has lots of fun ones in all sorts of forms, so you don't have to own a Cricut to use them.

I just used some white cardstock as the base and the Love Me Do line from My Mind's Eye for the decorative layer. I opted to leave it without a handle, but you can easily add one with ribbon or wire.

I cut the scalloped mat with my Cricut as well and the bird and branch is a SU punch; they are both popped up for some dimension. I am loving all the boxes I have been finding, it's a nice change up from cards and I am getting quite the stash which will come in handy during the upcoming birthday season! We have quite a few in March, then a ton again in the summer months.

Viva La Verve, Week 1

I have decided to throw my hat in the ring and participate in the Viva La Verve challenges for the opportunity to win the Verve release. For the challenge, they provide a sketch and inspiration photos.

I chose this photo and gained inspiration from the colors, a great match for October Afternoon Farm Fresh papers. The card base is PTI's Rustic Cream, which has a little more of a country/ vintage look and texture.

The flower is from the Wishful Elegance set, it's so pretty. I just added a bit of blue to the border strip and in the airbrushing around the flower to soften the hard edges.

Monster of a Hop

Today is the final day of peeks for the March release from Paper Makeup Stamps. It's all about the monsters! As always, we end the release with a blog hop.

You should have come from Gabby's blog. If not, be sure to start here to see everything from the beginning. Each Makeup Artist has a letter to a code that allows you to save 15% on new releases.

Here is Sourpuss, isn't he a delight?! Poor fella just can't catch a break! His smirk is laughable, I can relate. I went with some soft colors and then just sponged some gray ink to match the mood Sourpuss is in. Love him!

All of the shapes were cut with my Cricut using SVG files I found for free, gotta love that. You can find the shapes here.

Now hop on over to see Melyssa, I'm certain she has something wonderful to show you. But, before you go, write down this letter:

March PMS Sneak Peeks, Day 4

Today is Day 4 of the sneak peeks for the March release from Paper Makeup Stamps. It's time for the Moody Girls!!

I am featuring Moody for Showers as well as a fun sentiment. She looks so stylish to be floating away with the rain, don't you think? I know I say it every month, but these girls are so fun to color. I love, love, love her hair! I took the color cue from the American Crafts paper, fun design and vibrant colors.

Be sure to head on over to the PMS blog to see what the other designers have done with their Moody Girl.

March PMS Sneak Peeks, Day 3

Today marks the 3rd day of peeks for the March release from Paper Makeup Stamps. We're featuring the fairies today.

This precious cutie is Carma. I paired her with some down home papers from October Afternoon's Farm Fresh collection. Perfect for this month's release! *wink*

Once I colored her, I put some stickles on her wings and part of her shoe. Then, I drew in the grass and tufts and sponged the sky. The sentiment was stamped and then punched out and adhered with foam boosters.

The picket fence and birdhouse are SVG files I got from the SCAL forum. The birdhouse is credited to Nichole Heady.

Be sure to head on over to the PMS blog to see all the other fairies, you will not be disappointed. It's another fun month!!
