Hello There My Time Made Easy

I was thrilled this week when I accepted an invitation to join the very talented My Time Made Easy Pretty Patterns Sketch Team. Whew! That's a mouthful! I've always enjoyed sketches and am delighted to be with such a great group and a great company.

The MTMEPPS16 sketch is really cool and makes for a quick and easy card. I used the Bee Mine digital papers (Bee Loved Plaid and The Hive) and an image from the Bee-Loved digital stamp set (I've been itching for this hive since I saw it!), the sentiment is from Sensational stamp set.

Here's the sketch we're using this week. If you use it, please link it at the My Time Made Easy blog so we can take a look. In case you didn't know, if you sample all the sketches for the month, your name could be drawn as the random winner of a prize pack!

Head over to the My Time Made Easy blog to see the other samples from the rest of the team. You'll be glad you did!

Also, today the sneak peeks start for the My Time Made Easy release.

Fairy Nice

This week's MFT sketch, MFTWSC25, was another good one (do I say that alot or what?) and I couldn't wait to play. I also broke out some papers from Echo Park I've been dying to use.

The image is from MFT, their Pure Innocence line. This one looks so cute in her fairy outfit, doesn't she?!

Bedtime Stories

Last week's sketch from MFT, MFTWSC24, was a good one and another case of "I know exactly what I want to do." This is one of my fave sets since I love to read!

I got a Nook Color a few months ago and have been getting books left and right. One of my co-workers is into romance novels featuring supernatural creatures; this is right up my alley as one of my favorite series is from Charlaine Harris and my fave show, True Blood, has brought those pages to life. Well, a few of these recommendations caught me by surprise, they can get a little racy and very scandalous. Not that I would know anything about that!! Anywho, we've taken to perusing covers as well. As you know, the covers really make it impossible to not buy the book! LOL

One of them has a birthday coming up and I think a romance novel is on tap for a gift. The inside of this says "Even big girls need bedtime stories." Isn't that perfect?

The papers I used are from My Mind's Eye, again! The set I used is called Well Read and the rolld flower is MFT's Rolled Flower Die-Namics. The doily is PTI and the punch is EK Success. I decided to paper piece the sofa and the reader's pants.

Starry Happy Birthday

This week's FTL sketch, FTL146, was another winner, I had to try it out immediately. Good thing too, I knew exactly what I wanted to do and that doesn't happen very often. We have lots of birthdays coming up in July, extended family and some friends, so I need to stock up.

I used Simple Circles and a sentiment from PTI; the circles were just punched and adhered with some Jody boosters. I went with a patriotic and masculine CAS theme, we are near the 4th after all. Is this year flying to any of the rest of you?! How did it get to be near July already?!

Viva la Enchantment

I made this very quickly when I got home from work last night. I used the 3rd June Viva la Verve sketch (I'll link it later).

The papers are My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose, the Hattie collection. There are a variety of PTI sets used as well: Turning a New Leaf, Background Basics: Text Style II, and Beautiful Blooms II.

This weekend will find us in the garden and out to the movies. Cody and I will be going to see Cars 2 and perhaps hitting the pool at my parents. At least, if it's not raining anyway; it has been raining nearly every day here and I wouldn't complain except that it is accompanied with violent thunderstorms.

Warm Wishes To Go

I needed a quick card so that I can make posts every weekday this week, it's been a few weeks that I have been able to accomplish this small goal. So, I needed it to come together quickly.

I pulled out a set from Purple Onion Designs, Coffee & Tea set. I love the smaller images and am drawn to the coffee and tea sets like a moth to the flame.

Here, I just went with an easy layout, relying on some pretty papers as well as dies and punches.

For You Viva la Verve

The latest Viva la Verve sketch looked pretty interesting, so I gave it a go. I used some papers from the Gertie line of My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose collection. I love them!

The stamps are from WPlus9, Woodgrain Silhouettes; the background stamp is from Taylored Expressions, Miniature Motifs.

Your Generosity

It was time to hit the craft room on Sunday morning and as tough as it was to be inspired since the weather was less than desirable, I knew the Pinwheel die would cheer me up.

I used some pretty new papers as well, from the Stella and Rose line from My Mind's Eye, these are from the Gertie pad. They're sunny without being bright, very nice.

The sentiment is from the matching Pinwheel stamp set, they are several cute sentiments, the perfect accompaniment.

This will come in handy for one of the many 'Thank You' cards that I send out.

PMS Friday Freebie

Sorry, there hasn't been time for me to make anything to post. I was out of town a few days last week visiting my good friend, Katie. And, then we spent a day or two with my parents over the weekend, leaving absolutely no time to sit down to create anything for this week. I hope to get back at it this weekend, but we shall see.

The Friday Freebie is up at the PMS Blog, you can find it here. It's a great one to use for Father's Day!

In the meantime, here is a picture of my son with a few of his cousins.

Clockwise from the top left: Veronica, Dakota, Victoria, Kaden, and Cody (Could they look more thrilled to get their picture taken?)

Quite the good looking group IMO. Dakota is the one that had cancer. He looks just great, he has slimmed down and looks so grown up. He'll be in 8th grade when school starts again. Victoria is Cody's biggest fan, she just loves him so much. Most of the time, the feeling is mutual, but not always. LOL Kaden is a real trip. He's gonna be a ninja when he grows up....before that, he wanted to be a police car. Yep, car! Veronica just graduated from 8th grade and is looking forward to starting high school.

My goodness, where does the time go?

I'm So Glad You're My Friend

It was another amazing sketch over on the clean&simple blog, couldn't wait to try it out. I pulled out another older set from Paper Makeup Stamps, Color It: Summer. This is my favorite image from the set, I love leaves and/ or branches.

Happy Father's Day, Dad

I was so inspired by these cards from Debbie Olson; the woman is amazing! I knew I needed a card to give my dad for Father's Day and this design seemed simple, yet it still makes an impact. My dad is a no muss, no fuss guy and loves the color blue. I again used the Hattie collection from My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose papers.

I just added some simple piercing and then embossed the sentiment strip before adhering it to the card.

PMS June Blog Hop

It's the 7th! On months we don't have a stamp release, we still have our blog hop to celebrate the month and use some of the older releases. Each hop has some sort of general theme, this month's is Summer.

You should have arrived from Stephanie's blog; but, if not, you can start at the PMS Blog to see everything from the beginning.

I chose this image, you really can't get more summer than ice cream. Plus, Lily is dressed so stylishly. I added some stickles to her wings and some crystal effects to her ice cream, looks super delish. Lily has been with Paper Makeup Stamps for a while, I think she was added in 2009. She's just as lovely today as when I first got a glimpse of her.

The sentiment is from Little Moments, a set that comes in soooo handy. I just pierced very lightly in a circular pattern around the sentiment so that the card wasn't so flat.

Now, hop on over to see Katie, I am sure she has something fabulous for you!

We still chat it up on the 7th! You can join us at the Paper Makeup Stamps Forum at 9:00 pm EST. It's always a fun time.

We Are All Angels

I love this word art so much, I just couldn't wait to use it. Katie is offering it FREE, you can get it here. I used this week's sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS111; the circular panel was the perfect size for this quote. I busted into my new MME papers, Stella and Rose (Hattie) pad, the blues and yellows are so pretty.

The flowers were made with the Rolled Flower die-namics from MFT; I love their dies. I accented the patterned paper panel with the Open Scallop die-namics and then with a partial scallop border. My last embellishments were some flat back pearls.

321...Blast Off

Tomorrow is the last day to apply for a position on the Design Team for Paper Makeup Stamps. Do not delay, get your application in today!

I have wanted to use this rocket ship stamp from PTI for a while, it's just the cutest. The papers are from OA, the Campfire pad...loved the starry paper for this image.

I went very bright with the colors since it'll probably be a card for one of Cody's friends. We've got lots of summer birthdays in his group.

Sweet On You

It has been a while since I've used this So Sweet set (it's on sale right now!!!!); this is my favorite image from the set. Nothing like a cake pedestal holding some de-lumptious dessert to make me a happy gal!

I paired the image with some fun October Afternoon papers, adding some stickles to the cherries. I was really happy to use up some of the scraps in my file, although it doesn't appeared to have made a dent in them at all. LOL

Sympathies in Blue

My good friend from high school lost her father last week after a long illness. I am so sad for her and so sad that I couldn't be there with her during this difficult time. I have several great memories of the man and I know his family will miss him.

I knew I wanted to use this flower (PTI) since I have yet to use it....can you believe I've had it THAT long and haven't used it?! I really enjoyed coloring it, so much detail. I added some stickles to the center petals of the flower, just adding a touch of sparkle and interest.

The sentiment is from Verve, I love the scripty font, it looks so elegant.
