Bunny Boxes

I made a few more boxes and filled them with Easter treats. The boxes were purchased in the Silhouette Store and cut using some pretty Echo Park papers.

Thinking of You MTME

This week's sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS53, is open for interpretation. With the large panel I decided to create a scene of sorts. The images are from Spring is Here digital set and each piece was colored digitally as well.

I added a few gems around the sentiment to have a little dimension.

Well, be sure to check out the samples from the rest of the design team, you can find them on the My Time Made Easy blog.

My Memories Suite Review

I was contacted in February to review My Memories Suite Scrapbooking software. I was a bit apprehensive to try it since I do good just to edit my photos, and I don't really scrapbook anymore, but when I saw they offered support in the way of videos and tutorials, I didn't feel like I had anything to lose.

Liz has very kindly given me the opportunity to give away one copy of My Memories Suite to a follower on my blog!

My Memories Suite is rated #1 by Amazon and TopTen Reviews and retails for $40! Here's the details for this giveaway:

1. Make sure you are a follower here on my blog;
2. Pop by My Memories and take a look around;
3. Come back here and leave a comment telling me which kit you like the best;
4. Leave your comment by April 4th and I will draw a winner on April 5th.

That's it!

A wonderful thing about this giveaway is that because it's a digital download this giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere in the world! Once the winner is chosen they can download their software immediately!

Now the giveaway is for one lucky winner to receive a copy of My Memories Suite. If that lucky person turns out not to be you, Liz has also given me a code which provides a $10 discount off the purchase of the My Memories Suite software and a $10 coupon for the store, so a $20 value!
If you type in my code STMMMS24374 you get $10 OFF the My Memories Suite Software download AND $10 OFF in the My store.

While this is digital scrapbooking software, it is capable of doing other things. Here are a few things I made with the features already included in the software. There are categories like background paper, embellishments, photos, and shapes, etc. You can add text and word art as you desire. Each feature has several options to modify it to meet your specifications. It really has enough options to keep you busy without investing anything immediately.

I found it easy to use and it would be especially useful for mass producing invitations, notecards, etc. Things you don't want to hand stamp in large quantities. In fact, I'll probably use it for our Memorial Day BBQ Invites.

Good Luck!

Happy Birthday Joe!

It was my boss' birthday on Sunday and this is the card we gifted him with on Monday. He's a no muss no fuss guy, but this card has all sorts of fun stuff on it.

The sentiment is from Verve and I used FTL183 for the layout. I added the banner in the left corner since it looked so bare. I especially love the crystal effects on the balloon.

The box was made to match and holds about 8 Hershey's nuggets.

Happy Birthday Dad

Duke's birthday was on Saturday, he's a geezer now for sure! LOL This is the card I made for him. Obviously, it's not my best work, but I came together rather easily and simply.
I used the final March Viva la Verve sketch and some files from the Silhouette Store.

Sunday, March 25, 2012

I thought I had already participated in this month's SFYTT, but I hadn't. I also checked out the Color Throwdown, CTD184.

So, I grabbed some supplies matching the colors and sizes of each challenge and got busy. I used a new set from Lil Inker Designs, I love me some coffee stamps and dies. The sentiment is from Verve, hoewever, since none of the sentiments in the Lil Inker set would fit into my small sentiment circle.

The coffee cup cozy was colored with copics and then I added a sweet little yellow gem to the center of the flower.

My Little Stick Family

Cody and I completed our vinyl projects with this super cute stick family; it's stuck on the rear window of our family van. The dog was added after the fact, I had messed it up and had to re-cut. Cody stuck her a little further away than I would have liked, but it still looks amazing!

Cody did most of the work on the two vinyl projects we completed this week. He's meticulous with the burnishing. So proud of him.

The stick family is available in the Silhouette Store.

Hello There MTME

It's Thursday and that means we have another sketch brought to you by My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS53. This was super scary to me when I first saw it, I think Tangii does it on purpose! LOL

I used the Cool Escape paper pack as well as Fanciful Flourishes and Sensational Sentiments stamp sets.

I used my Cameo to cut the yellow panel and then embossed it using a woodgrain embossing folder. Then added the little Xs after stamping them with green ink. Lastly, I added a few green gems to the centers of the little blue flowers.

You can check out even more samples using this sketch by visiting the My Time Made Easy blog.

Treat Boxes for Easter

I have been itching to make some treat boxes for Easter; I will do several of these for the folks at work. I need to get ahead, obviously, because I can feel the holiday sneaking up on me already.

I used some really pretty paper from Echo Park for these boxes, I was able to cut both of them from 1 12x12 sheet. Probably could've cut a few more things with it, but instead I just made the appropriate snips and will use them as scraps.

The nuggets candies were wrapped with digital paper from Sheri K Designs; love the bold colors used with the classic patterns. I think these colors are just perfect for Easter.

Both boxes were purchased in the Silhouette Store.

Want Some Sweet Treats?

I wanted to finally do a vinyl project with my Cameo; I had purchased some vinyl a while ago and Cody spotted it this past weekend.

We have a set of jars on the dining room table that I fill with seasonal candies and treats. We decided this would be our first project. I designed the lettering and used white vinyl which provides a great contrast to the treats I have inside. It instantly looks dressed up!

The nugget candies were wrapped with address labels that I printed some digital paper onto. Much faster than stamping and I won't feel as sick when they end up in the trash. They still look pretty and I hardly had to break a sweat. I used papers from Sheri K Designs; you can find her work on Etsy and loads of other places. Her prices are amazing for what you get!

Celebrate Mojo Today

I wanted to play along with the Mojo Monday sketch, MOJO232; it just took me longer than expected.
I used some PTI stamp goodies for this one; Turning a New Leaf, Autumn Abundance, and Mehndi Medallions. The ones you can't see, I used two under the zipper, are from Fillable Frames 8.
The little zipper panel was made with my Cameo using a file from the Signed.Sealed.Delivered kit from Kerri Bradford. I just removed the path to separate the zipper from an envelope and placed it on the rectangle.
Just for good measure, I added just a touch of green by adding the gems.

Amazing Grace

Man, oh man! We had a terrible thunder and lightning storm last night. One strike was so close to the house that it shook. We all huddled in our back bedroom and rode it out for an hour. Cody was petrified, so we spent much of the time talking so he couldn't hear what was happening outside very well. Thankfully, it passed and all seems to be well.

This week's Viva la Verve sketch was another fun one, I love the tag shape behind the sentiment panel. I pulled out some older MME papers, loving the colors on this pack. The sentiment is a Plain Jane from Verve.
We're on our way to my niece's birthday party, she turns 9 today. Cody is thrilled about choosing her gift! Personally, I am sure he thinks he's getting a few too! Well, I better scoot, I have a few errands to run before the celebration.

Happy Birthday MTME

I am just loving the new paper pack from My Time Made Easy, Spreading Spring Cheer; the colors are vibrant and I love the subtlty of the polka dots petals in the flowers. I pulled them out again for today's sketch, MTMEPPS52. Today also marks ONE YEAR of sketches, so we're having a celebration!

ETA- “Today we are kickin' off our ! 1 year Challenge-aversary! What would you do with a $25 gift certificate to My Time Made Easy? Well all you have to do is play along with this week's sketch for your chance to win!! Winner will be announced next Thursday along with Sketch #53”

The sentiment is from Just For You and I use this set alot, it has some classic sentiments and the fonts are pretty fun and playful.

Be sure to check out the My Time Made Easy blog to see inspiration from the rest of the Design Team and to check out how to win!

You Are Such a Joy

I just love, love, love this week's Mojo Monday sketch, MOJO231; fun shapes and panels! Plus, it's contest week, so I wanted to give it a try anyway.

I used some papers from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found collection, totally grooving on the colors and patterns. The image is from Verve's Kind Words.

Always On My Mind

Here's my take on this week's Viva la Verve sketch.

I managed to cut all the elements to the card with my Cameo, that machine sure makes cutting a whole lot easier. Plus, I knew I wanted a file folderish cut for the long panel. I used some Prima papers that have me longing for Spring flowers and colors.
The sentiment and image are from Verve's Always On My Mind, the leaves on the mustard notebook panel are from Verve's Great Friend, and the polka dots on the flag are from Verve's Bountiful Backgrounds. Lotsa Verve on this one.

Happy Birthday Karen

I was asked by my publisher's daughters to make a card for their Mother for her birthday today. Happy Birthday Karen! They gave me instructions to use pink and told me she loves roses.

I had to toss my original idea, it went from fabulous to over the top with the addition of embellishments. I decided to go a different route and ended up coloring this image from The Year of Flowers mini set from PTI, the sentiment was stamped on a double ended banner die cut, it's also from PTI, the birthday set (name is escaping me).

The borders were cut with my Cameo, the image die cut with nesties. I did trace the inside petals with a clear glitter pen for a subtle amount of shimmer and sparkle.

Sending You a Smile

It's Thursday, so we have another sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS51. I loved the large oval panel and knew I wanted to use some Easter egg die cuts. I also wanted to use the new papers found in the Spreading Spring Cheer pack, so colorful and bright.
I colored the sentiment and flower found in the new Spring is Here digital stamp set. The last things I added were a little cloud die cut and some tufts of grass.
Be sure to check out the My Time Made Easy blog to see the sketch for yourself and to see even more inspiring deisgns from the rest of the Design Team. You can also check out the newly released products here.

Favorite Peeps

I wasn't able to participate with February's Viva la Verve sketches, but thought I'd try the ones for March.

I had to make a birthday card for my niece, Victoria, as she has a birthday coming up. She is obsessed with the color green so I knew I had to include it. I purchased this cute li'l peep image from the Silhouette Store and thought it would compliment the sentiment I wanted to use. I just printed it and then used my Cameo to cut it out in the shape of the label.

The peep was stamped with the background image from Verve's Wishful Elegance and then just mounted with boosters next to the sentiment. The papers I chose offer plenty of sunshine and cheer.

Dancing Dancing Dancing

I was asked to make a card for my boss's daughter's friend from dance class. It just had to have a dancer and then rest was up to me.

I recently purchased some dancer cutting files from the Silhouette Store and decided on a spinner card. The dancers form as too thin to use as the spinner itself since I had to make it so small, so I just glued her onto a scallop circle.

I designed the whole thing in the Silhouette Software, but made the spinning channel a little too large for pennies, so I have to use quarters instead. The holgraphic paper is my absolute favorite part of the card, it looks so pretty with the theme. I especially like that it makes a rainbow of colors and everything matches it. LOL

The sentiment is from Verve, Wish Big, and I just stamped it prior to assembling the card.

RAK & Birthday Goodies

My sweet friend, Anessa, sent a crazy cool ice cream scoop and 2 very large padded envelopes full of paper to me some time back and I've neglected to blog about it and I feel just terrible.
She also sent 3 replacement blades for my Cameo for my birthday and included this very special birthday card. She has the best embellies!

If you haven't visited her blog, you simply must. She's talented, smart, witty, and just about the kindest person there is.
And, Allison sent this lovely card and cute stamp set as well. She really knows how to work with Bacic Grey's papers, I am so intimidated with them. You can find Allison's amazing work here.
It seems like all this stuff arrives right when I need it most. It's been pretty crazy here for a few months and it's finally starting to even out. So thanks for thinking of me ladies, it means more to me than I can tell you.

It's the Little Things

I wasn't able to post my card before the deadline, we've been having thunderstorms and lightning off and on for the last 2 weeks. The last few have been pretty severe, so we turn off all the electricity and brace ourselves for what's coming. Much of the time I am sending up silent prayers for the safety of my family, community, and our home.

This week's sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS50, is one I'll use again and again. You can leave it very simple as I did or dress it up.

I wanted to use flags for my strips and was really itching to use this raspberry color, so pretty and spring-ish. The sentiment is from All a Flutter and the image is from Puckered Up Patterns which I embellished with some silver pearls.

You can see the rest of the team's inspiration on the My Time Made Easy blog.

You might also want to check out the new release from My Time Made Easy; the templates are amazing and the Design Team really shows them off. The new papers are soooo pretty too. You can see it all here.
