I wanted to participate in this week's JUGS challenge, JUGS134, since I had some Mother's Day goodies to make anyway. And, 3-D challenges are always fun!

I downloaded this purse from the Silhouette Store and chose a "Vera Bradley"-esque patterned paper from Sassafrass Lass to make it. I really like this!

The purse will be used to gift some lip gloss for one of the gals at work.

Thank You Berry Much

It's Thursday and that means we have another sketch challenge from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS58.

I grabbed the fun paper pack Spreading Spring Cheer, for my card today. I love the brights, expecially since it's been so rainy and overcast here as of late. The image and sentiment are from Well Preserved; such fun images in this set.

Be sure to stop by the My Time Made Easy blog to see inspiration from the rest of the design team and to see how you can win prizes just by playing along.

Seed Packets

I typically buy hanging flower baskets for Mother's Day gifts. I plan to put these cute little seed packets in each basket this year.

I die cut the seed packet on my Cameo and then used PTI's Garden Variety set & matching die for the seed packet frame and wording. I pop dotted the frame itself, teh insert is just glued to the seed packet. The little tiny price tag was stamped onto light blue cardstock and then punched with a 1/2" circle punch, adhered with pop dots.

I stamped a different flower from PTI's Year of Flowers Mini set and then overstamped with Background Basics: Text in a light tan ink.

I die cut the gardening tools and stamped with brown and grey inks, adhering to the frame with pop dots.

The outside of the seed packet was stamped with PTI's Background Basics: Newsprint in VersaMark to look a little aged, vintage. I don't do vintage well, but I do love the look.

Express Yourself VLV

This is for the 3rd Viva la Verve challenge for April, lots of layers for this one. The elements were cut with my Cameo and then adhered to the card. The fabric brad was perfect for the rosette center.

I am loving this Echo Park paper, I say that every time I use their paper. They have a great groups of designers and their papers rank among my favorites.

The sentiment is from Verve.

Live Well

The 4th Viva la Verve sketch is an interesting one and I knew exactly what I wanted to do; I also wanted to use the colors in this week's challenge at The Play Date Cafe, PDCC128. They are scrumptious, don't you agree?!
Kerri Bradford has these super cool cutting files and one of the kits I bought happened to have a chevron pattern included. I just ungrouped the pattern and chose the bits I needed for my card front.
I placed raspberry dp under the card front so that it could peek out of the chevron cutouts. The image and sentiment are from Verve's Great Friend set; the tiny little polka dot flower center is from Verve's Petals and Stems set.

Bloom Blossom Become SFYTT

This month's SFYTT is a good one and I needed to get a card made. So far, I've done them all.
I used papers from MTME called Spring Abound; they are so cheery. I adore the damask design of course, but the other papers are gorgeous too.
The sentiment is from PTI's Garden Variety and the embellishments (minus the gems) were cut with my Cameo.

Perfect In Every Way MTME

This week's sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS57, is another keeper. I wanted to use some of the new papers, Spring Abound. I paired the papers with the daisy image from Bee-Loved. I added just a touch of color so that it remained really soft.

The sentiment from All a Flutter was punched and adhered under the damask strip. My final touches are some silver pearls and the super cute butterfly.

Be sure to check out the My Time Made Easy blog to see even more inspiration using the sketch and to see how you can win just by playing along.

Teacher's Pet

This is my entry for MFT's Guest Designer challenge for the month of May. I created a desk set for Cody's teacher to include everything from tissues to candy. The top of the desk organizer was decorated with the Flower Trio Die-Namics as well as a sentiment from Essential Sentiments.

The notepad holds some note paper, I just stamped the first piece and tied it with some ribbon. Sentiment is from Clearly Sentimental about Teaching.

This is a template from My Time Made Easy called Keep It; it holds the pack of 6 cards/ envelopes, some index cards with File Folder separators, and some envelope seals bearing his teacher's initials using the Wendy Alphabet.

This is the set of 6 cards with envelopes. There are 2 each of 3 designs with the same sketch- just different papers and greetings. Sentiments and images from Framed Greetings.

This was a huge hit at my office. The loopy blooms were placed on the end of the pencil at the base of the metal band. The pencil cup was covered and then decoarted with the Simply Scallop Die-Namics, Framed Greetings Die-Namics, and a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental about Teaching.

Next up is a 3-drawer unit that I filled with staples, binder clips, and colored paper clips.

Then, we have this super cute candy dispenser that has some colorful hard candies housed inside.

And, lastly, there is the super cute tissue box decorated with Framed Greetings and with the sentiment from a set I can't find on their site. It's older so it may be retired.

This concludes my entry. All the boxes were purchased in the Silhouette Store and cut with my Silhouette with the exception of the Keep It Template and File Folders which are from My Time Made Easy.

One in a Million

With Teacher Appreciation Week quickly approaching, I decided this week I will be making some goodies for Cody's teacher. And, MFT is hosting their Guest Designer challenge with the theme of Be a Teacher's Pet. Well, here is the card I made to go with all the goodies I put together over the weekend.
The card itself is a folder, it's so stinkin' cute. I used some fun papers from American Crafts to decorate the front of the folder; these papers match everything else I made for the challenge. *I'll be sharing them once I pick up a few things I forgot at the store. The scallops were made using the Simply Scallops Edge Die-Namics.
The image is from Pure Innocence Out on a Limb; she was colored to match the papers and then adhered to the scalloped circle. I'm not sure which set the sentiment is from.
The inside of the folder was decorated very simply with a sheet of cardstock that I ran through the Big Shot using the Notebook Edge die to make a very realiztic sheet of paper.
The sentiment is from Clearly Sentimental about Teaching; a great set to make anything for a teacher.
I even used a sketch from MFT, MFTWSC66. Super fun!

Just a Note...Miss You

This week's Viva la Verve sketch was interesting; lots of layers and ways to embellish. I used some new papers from Echo Park called Note to Self, they are delish.

All the elements were cut with my Cameo and then added to the card front. The stamps are all PTI, from various sets. I knotted the ribbon and added the little tag with some twine.

The sentiment was stamped onto the cute patootie viewfinder...oh how I love it!

Duke's Easter Box

This was Duke's Easter Treat Box. The box itself and the inserts were designed by Lori Whitlock and can be found in the Silhouette Store. She has got to be one of my favorite designers, always coming up with cool stuff; and she designs paper for Echo Park.
I used some lovely October Afternoon papers and some delicious treats for the insde. The box and other elements were cut with my Cameo and then assembled before adding the treats.

Chevron Hello

This week's sketch from the clean & simple blog, FTL184, is a good one. I have been wanting to use this chevron border for a while and the sketch just called out for them. I cut them with some cardstock and then added a sentiment flag with a sentiment from Lil Inker Designs Rainbows and Clouds set. The butterfly was embellished with some black gems.

Flower Garden MTME

This week's sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS55, was pretty scary to me.

I used some new images from Spring in Bloom and some older papers called Bee Mine. The colors are reminiscent of spring. The image panel was embellished with scallops and gems.

Be sure to check out all the new products in the store! There's also some inspiration on the My Time Made Easy blog, the other design team member's really knocked this on outta the park.

A Few More Treat Boxes

I made a few more of these treat boxes since they're so easy to put together. The green bunny is for Cody since green is his favorite color. He didn't even want to part with it long enough for me to get a photo, but I won out.

Carrot Treat Boxes

On Saturday, I made these super cute treat boxes that are perfect for Easter. I stamped the carrot tops with the houndstooth pattern from Paper Smooches' Debonair set. I think it dresses this up so well.

I inserted a few packages of sixlets in Easter colors for the perfect little treat for a few of the kiddos. That it, if they make it that long.

Smile VLV

It's time for another month of Viva la Verve sketches! This one is a really fun one, lots of oppoprtunity to embellish.

I pulled out some neglected October Afternoon papers and cut some images and elements using my Cameo. The leafy cluster was stamped in VersaMark using the Houndstooth background stamp from Paper Smooches.

I used some rolled peony flowers and some gems to embellish the sentiment circle. Sentiment from Lil Inker Designs Rainbows & Clouds set.
