Heart Flutter

It's Thursday! That means there's another sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS63.

I wanted to use this pretty paper from the Spring Abound pack. I grabbed for Fanciful Flourishes and added the largest and smallest flowers in colors to match the paper. I added some pearls to the center of the larger flowers.

The sentiment is from All a Flutter; and the butterfly was the final addition. Can you believe my son suggested it?!

Wish Big

I have decided to enter this into MFT's Guest Designer challenge for June. This month they had a sketch challenge, those are my favorite.

I used two MFT PI sets, Being Cute is What I Do and Believe in Magic. I paired the image with some papers from Echo Park's Hello Summer pad. My how I love this paper, so sunny, bright, and cheerful. I colored the image with copics to match the paper; paper piecing the pants.

I also added in some die-namics: the Jumbo RicRac die was used for the two strips on the sketch, the Rolled Flower die with leaves from the Flower Trio & Leaf Trio die. I also added a small butterfly using Butterfly Die-Namics.

Beach Babe

This week's Viva la Verve sketch is CAS; although mine really doesn't qualify as CAS with all those layers.

I used WeR Memory Keepers papers from the Down the Boardwalk pad; the bathing suit paper was calling out to be used first. LOL I also picked up some stamps to match, I think the flip flops were super cute.

I just added a Prima flower and a yellow gem to the image panel. The image panel was made to look like a ticket stub or something similar. Too cute!

Forever in Our Hearts

I immediately loved the sketch at the clean&simple blog, FTL192. I even knew what I wanted to use for it, such a welcome surprise.

The papers are We R Memory Keepers Red, White & Blue; I have to say that I loved this pack of papers. It's one of my first times using this brand, the papers are thick and of great quality. Much like the rest of you, I dislike thin, flimsy papers. Plus, the designs in this pack are fantastic.

The sentiment is from Verve, Forever in Out Hearts set (I belive that the name). I'd look it up, but I am having terrible issues with my satellite internet service. I never know when it's going to drop the page and everything takes forever to load. Hoping it gets repaired tomorrow!

Just for You

I made this cute milk cartons and container to house some nail polish and lip gloss for a cute little friend of mine. I loved this paper from Fancy Pants and thankfully it's double-sided.

I re-sized the milk cartons and the holder to make it smaller. The tag was also cut with my Cameo, then stamped with various stamps from PTI.

The yellow twine makes the perfect closure and will allow her to re-tie once she gets to her goodies.

I grabbed my beloved Spreading Spring Cheer paper, the flowers are from Sensational Stems and the sentiment is from Sensational Sentiments. I stamped my flowers to match the paper, aren't they adorable?!

Blowing Kisses

I combined a few challenges for this card, FTL191 and CQC137; the colors were too pretty to pass up. I embossed the white panel with one of my fave embossing folders.

I wanted to use a pinwheel in place of a flower; I cut it to size with my Cameo; then stamped each with watermark ink using background stamps from Market Street Stamps.

I cut the brad legs off with scissors and glued it to the center of the pinwheel; sentiment is from Li'l Inker Designs.

Life is Good

I pulled out some Studio Calico goodness for this week's Viva la Verve sketch, this pack is called Abroad. Naturally, it's about traveling; and with graduations coming up, I thought I might get a few cards made up within that theme.

The circular pattern is from from Hero Arts/ Studio Calico and the rest of the images and sentiment are from Verve. I wanted the image panel to look collage-y, hopefully I succeeded.

I sprayed the doily with some Mr Huey spray in Classic Tan for a touch of age.

Reach For The Sky!

My nephew's High School graduation is on Friday night; so proud of you Nick!

I was going to make his card and gift card to match his school colors, but saw this super cute paper from Echo Park and decided otherwise.

I used the Mojo Monday 241 sketch and immediately thought to use PTI's Up Up & Away set along with a sentiment. I used Echo Park's This & That: Charming for the background paper as well as the patterns for the balloons. I just stamped with outlines over the top and called it done.

The gift card holder was cut with my Cameo using the same Echo Park papers, just the 12x12 version instead of the 6x6 card size version and some cardstock. The stamps on the gift card are Hero Arts/ Studio Calico....love them! I even spritzed some Mr Huey spray in Classic Tan on the circle and I love the look. Then, I clear embossed the sentiment making it look super special. Of course, I am pretty sure Nick won't spend much time admiring the outside once he sees what's inside. LOL

The last few things I added were some ribbon and BG magnets as a closure.

Cheer Up, Buttercup

I used last week's sketch from the clean&simple blog, FTL190. I got my color palette from the Colour Q, CQC136.

I pulled out some older PTI goodies for this one; Background Basics: Polka Dots II and Scattered Showers. The flower was cut with my Cameo and then layered together and adhered at the end of the sentiment strip.

A Spot of Tea

I loved the sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS61, this week. Classic!

The image is from Grab a Cup and the sentiment is from A Spot of Tea; you just can't go wrong with a cup of tea. For an extra touch, I added some Crystal Effects to the cup image.

You Are So Sweet

This month's SFYTT sketch is a keeper; I like all those fun layers and shapes. I wanted to use Strawberry Patch stamps and dies for the image panel. The berries, stems, and leaves were cut with the dies and then stamped. I added some black ink to the strawberries to act as the seeds and topped them with Crystal Effects.

I thought the flower border was similar to strawberry flowers and just accented it with some yellow gems. The sentiment is also from Strawberry Patch.

A Box of Notes

I needed a way to box up a st of large post-its for a Mother's Day gift for my sister-in-law. I alsolutely love Echo Park's This & That: Graceful collection and the floral sheet in particular. So bold and colorful.

I decided on this pizza box, cutting the bottom out with some textured (orange peel) green cardstock and the top with the Echo Park paper.

The top was just decorated with an accordion flower, a flourish and some gems. The sentiment is from PTI.

I just put the pack of three post-its in the box after tying them with sheer ribbon.

Watch What Happens

After the weekend I had- I don't want to talk about it!- I needed some bright, fun colors to cheer me up. I also wanted to use the Viva la Verve sketch, it's a fun one!

I started with this fun paper from Echo Park called Hello Summer. You can find it at StopandScrap. They also have the matching brad assortment pack; I used a cute yellow brad for the center of my accordion flower.

This is the gift card holder I made to give to my Mom for Mother's Day this year. She got a Nook Color earlier in the year and I plan on getting her a B&N gift card so she can add more books to her library. This is the card that will accompany her gift.

I used Webster's Pages paper again, the Sunday Picnic & Everyday Poetry pack. I decorated the flap with some ribbon and an image & sentiment from Verve.

I wanted to show the inside, but at the time of the photo, I didn't have the gift card purchased yet. So, just imagine you see it instead of Cody's GameStop Rewards card. LOL

The gift card template was a download from the Silhouette Store.

This week's sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS60, is fun.

I knew I wanted to use some of the new papers and images from My Time Made Easy to make my card today. I also wanted to try out the Print & Cut feature on my Cameo. I took a class a few weeks ago and thought now would be the time to apply my new knowledge to help me craft smarter & easier. I was successful and am totally proud of myself.

So, the image is from Seas the Day, sentiment from the Seas the Day sentiment set. I love the images from the set.

The papers are from the Bold Boys pack, I really like the navy/ gold combination found in the plaid paper. So masculine and strong.

Coffee Themed Card Set

For my first post for Stop and Scrap today, I made a 3x3 card set with a matching box to hold them. There are six cards total with envelopes as well.

The card box was cut with my Cameo with my beloved Echo Park paper- this one is Note to Self; I embellished with a scallop frame and circles. The top circle was stamped with watermark ink using the polka dot pattern from Paper Smooches Geo-Graphic set. I love the colors found in this pack Echo Park dp.


I colored the latte mug from Paper Smooches Hot Concoctions set with copics and added just a touch of a brick red to the corners and along the bottom to mimic the look of a stoneware mug. The whipped cream is popped up and embellished with glitter.

Each of the 6 cards has the same layout, but with a different sentiment on the flags. And, each of the envelope flaps were stamped with the chevron pattern from Paper Smooches Geo-Graphic set just to dress them up a touch.

To gift, I just wrapped some blue ribbon around all the cards and envelopes and placed them inside the box with some bag shred.
