Just Rosie

Using Chupa's sketch this week, SSC69, and the color challenge at Our Creative Corner, I got busy with making this fun and colorful card.

The dp is Echo Park's Dots & Stripes; I added a pretty doily as the accent for those roses.

Grammy's Sewing Kit

ETA: Sorry I had to post this twice, I deleted my original post and had to re-create it.

I have some exciting news to share! I am part of the My Time Made Easy Design Team! It's a dream come true!

For the August Release, there are some new and exciting products. Today, I get to feature Grammy's Sewing Kit. It's a super cool box with a fun & interactive opening. I used it as it was intended- a sewing kit. 

I used my favorite print from a new digital paper pack, Buttons N Bits for the decorative layers of the box itself and for the card. The top of the box was also decorated with a digital stamp, from Grammy's Sewing Kit, that I colored in PSE9 and cut using the Well Rounded Cut File.

The inside of the box contains a travel sewing kit, the tomato/ strawberry pin cushion, so cut needle threaders, and some embroidery floss that I wrapped around the Ribbon Card Cut File.

I made the card with the same colors as the box but added a few patterns from another new digital paper pack called Grammy's Pretty Patterns.  I colored the polka dot print as well as the gingham print to match my original sheet of paper; I love that I can do that!

The tag for both the box and the card were designed in PSE9; I just took advantage of the print and cut feature in Silhouette Studio to make it easier for me to cut them to size.

Party Bags

After making some Jello Fruit Chews, I needed bags to present them in. I found My Time Made Easy's Paper Bag cut file; cutting three of them in the favorite colors of a friend's granddaughters.

I added some coordinating papers from my stash pile and some ribbon to the outside of the bag. The fruit chews were placed in a cello bag tied with coordinating twine and tucked inside each cute bag.

I'll be sharing the recipe for the fruit chews next week.

Oh K Dokey Gift Set

I made this gift set for Cody's brother, Jason. He and his fiance are Keurig owners and I found some coffee that they like, it's Green Mountain Caramel Vanilla Cream.

I used My Time Made Easy's Oh K Dokey cut file and Fancy a Cuppa stamp set as well as the Just for You and Grab a Cup stamp sets to decorate both the box as well as each individual K-Cup.

Tag Me

I was inspired by this tag by Debby; I used different stamps and colors as well as a larger tag that I was able to cut with my Cameo.

The flowers are from PTI's Rosie Posie; the leaves were stamped with the Crackle Background and the flourish was added in a watermark ink.

Miss You

I had totally forgotten about this month's SFYTT, and knew I needed to participate before the month ended. Thankfully, I found time in between DT projects.

I went with a retro themed card, using PTI's Rose Posie stamp set and Echo Park's Happy Days paper. The sentiment is from PTI's most recent anniversary set.

Smiling Today

I grabbed some old October Afternoon papers from my stash folder and made this super simple card. The elements were cut with my Cameo making this so easy to put together.

To dress up the sentiment, I added some piercing. The butterfly was embellished with some tiny white pearls and the satin grosgrain bow really ties it all together.

Twinings Teag Bag Holder

Oh my goodness! I love, love, love giving tea as a gift, it's so easy to do and is always graciously accepted.

I used this crazy cute cut file from My Time Made Easy called Time For Tea Bag; it went together so easily. I grabbed this pretty paper from My Mind's Eye because it matched the tea bags I intended to gift.

I used some cute stamps from Just for You and A Spot of Tea. I used the Print & Cut feature to cut out the cute tea cup to size; then just colored it with my copics. Each of the little circular images were accented with a flower punch and a gem.

Bird-Day

It's Thursday, and that means it's time for another sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS67. This is another one I am sure I'll use again, it's a fun one.

The images are from Singing Silhouette, isn't that branch adorable?! I added some berry clusters to the branch as well as a super cute bird.

Strawberry Gable Box

I needed a quick giftie late last week and decided to whip up this cute gable box perfect for holding some strawberry candies. I added the window and placed some acetate in front so the recipient could see what the surprise inside was.

The paper is from Echo Park.

Sunny JUGS Challenge

I was delighted to find time to play along with the challenge on the JUGS blog, JUGS144. That sweet sunflower was cut with my Cameo and then the center was stamped with a tiny doily stamp. Each layer has been popped up for some dimension on this super CAS card.

Card Candy

I have been itching to use the Card Candy cut file from My Time Made Easy for a while now; in fact, it was purchased for Valentine's Day gifts, but I never got around to making them. I added some dashed score lines to make it easier for me, but you can score with a bone folder as well.

I decorated the front with a simple sunflower, grass, and clouds. The grass was embossed with polka dots and the cloud was cut from the paper and then patterned paper, from Echo Park's So Happy Together collection, was placed underneath.


Here is a peek of the inside; I had some chocolate covered sunflower seeds that worked perfectly for this project.

Cody and I are thrilled to be home after spending nearly a week at my parents' home. We got our driveway graded and scraped, repaired; then the rains came. It's rained every single day since Thursday, July 5th. With the rain, no rock on the driveway, and no spare 4-wheel drive vehicle, the most logical course of action was for me to stay somewhere else as not to damage the road any more than the rain was. Cody, of course, wanted to go with me. We came home Saturday evening and had to be escorted to the house by Duke in the one 4-wheel drive vehicle we have.

We're hoping for some sunny days, at least a few that will let the road dry completely so that we can get some rocks on it. But, I think we're having more rain for the next few days only getting a break closer to Tuesday. We'll see how it goes.

Birthday Dreams

Here is my take on the 2nd July Viva la Verve challenge. I used Simple Stories Summer Fresh papers, and a doily; I am hooked on these doilies. I decided to make it using some kraft paper instead of white or vanilla.

I used 3 different stamp sets, all PTI for this card; it'll be going to the friend of a friend for her birthday. She sews, so hopefully, this makes her smile.

Sweet on You

After seeing so many great card using the Deconstructed Sketch, DS58, I wanted to try it too. This is a classic layout with lots of opportunity for embellishment.

I was itching to use those sweet cherries from PTI and that super cool sentiment. I used a corner rounder on the notebook paper and then wrapped it with some twine, this is maraschino from The Twinery. I really need to grab some of their new colors, they make my heart swoon!

Feel Better

The MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge is one I always intend to participate in, but can't find the time. So, I was happy that I got to play along with the current sketch, MFTWSC79.

I used some paper from the Simple Stories Summer Fresh pack; those papers are divine and I find myself wanting to hang on to them instead of using them. *bad*

The stamps are from MFT, the Pure Innocence line; those lil gals are too cute for words. It felt pretty good to color with copics, it's been quite a while.

Happy Blue Birthday

The sketch from My Time Made Easy for this week, MTMEPPS66, threw me for a loop. I was completely stumped.

I started by printing some of the new papers, Blue Birthday, and just fell in love with the Number Crazy print; I thought it would look great with the Zag pattern also found in the pack.

I then just made a simple 3-d bow for the bottom of the image panel; I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Just For You in white. Lastly, I just wrapped the whole thing in some pretty twine.

Smiling Pocket

Happy Independence Day!

I saw this super cute treat pocket file in the Silhouette Store and couldn't wait to use it- this is sans treat for the time being...LOL. I wanted to use the Rosie Posie set I recently acquired as well and the paper from Echo Park's Happy Days collection matched very well.

I also used PTI's We Go Together and Turning a New Leaf sets to help accent those gorgeous roses. I then outlined each part of the rose with a clear glitter pen for some sparkle, it's very subtle but very pretty.

Happy Birthday

I made a bright birthday card using this week's sketch from the clean&simple blog, FTL197. I cut the hexagon pattern with my Cameo and then just stamped each of the individual pieces with PTI's Happy Hexagons set. My pieces are smaller, but the stamps still worked wonderfully.

I used colors found in the October Afternoon papers and then added the pop of black which really does add some pizzazz.

Red, White, and Blue

It's my day to post over on the StopandScrap.com blog.

This week's sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS165, is crazy cute with lots of layers. I wanted to make one last card for the upcoming holiday using We R Memory Keepers Red White & Blue papers.

The pinwheel was stamped using the Crackle background from PTI, the texture it adds is amazing.

Any plans for the 4th? We have been having record high temps here in east TN, so we will probably stay indoors. There is a local community that puts on a great fireworks display, so we might head over there later in the evening.
