There's No Place Like Gnome

Welcome to Day 2 of My Time Made Easy's September Release! We are showcasing the Mush-Room House template today. How stinkin' adorable is that mushroom?!

I filled the bottom with some Raisinets, yum! And decorated with some punched circles that I coated with stickles. Looks magical.

The Mush-Room House was topped with a large daisy using the Flutters and Flowers cut file. I adore this flower! I also used the leaves from the Flutters and Flowers cut file, omitting the cut out and then scoring down the middle before adhering to the template.

The daisy was decorated with a cute yellow button threaded with some white crochet thread. The petals were fluffed up as well, looks much better than leaving them flat.

Here is the card and envelope that will accompany this gift. I used the print and cut feature in the Silhouette Studio software to make the image label; the image is from the Gretchen and Gregory Gnome stamp set, the label from the new Fabulous Frames cut file.

You'll also want to visit the other ladies that are showcasing this template today:

All the new products will be available for purchase tomorrow!

It's Thursday and it's time for a new sketch at My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS70. I went with a fall themed card as I am wishing for cooler weather.

The image and sentiment are from Thankful; I used the print and cut feature to cut out the sentiment panel and the leaf image. I actually colored with my copics, it sure has been a while.

The dp is from the Vintage Plaid collection; I was really drawn to the orange sheet. I added some pearls and gems as well as a sweet little bow to dress everything up.

Be sure to stop by the My Time Made Easy blog to see more inspiration using this sketch from the rest of the design team. We hope you find time to play along; remember, there's a prize every month!

Today, the peeks for the My Time Made Easy September Release begin, you are NOT going to want to miss it!

Seize the Cupcake

Using this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC166, I made a feminine birthday card; the papers are Carta Bella's Paris Girl.

I used the cupcake image from Verve's Seize the Cupcake, adding some crystal effects to the frosting. It was nice to pull out the copics again, it's been some time that I've used a line art image.

The banner was decorated with some shiny black gems and then popped up on boosters.

A Wicked Good Time

I wanted to play along at the Play Date Cafe this week, PDCC156; the colors were too good to pass up. I am in a Halloween-y state of mind and wanted to use A Spooky Surprise for my card. You can also see I went very CAS.

I used the Print and Cut feature, again, to cut not only the main image panel as well as the sentiment flag. I then used a glitter pen to sparkle-ize the web.

The touch of lime comes in the form of the small scallop strip on the side.

Feel Better Soon

Here we are at Day 4 of the Anni-Verve-Sary challenges, this one was to make a CAS card. I still managed some layers, but I think this card still qualifies.

The band-aid is a strip of Fine Linen cardstock that has been embossed using a polka dot embossing folder; I just used the debossed side. I layered on some rectangles of cardstock and then embossed around it with a stylus to emulate a true band-aid.

The sentiment is from My Time Made Easy's A Spot of Tea. Lastly, the little heart finishes things off- a kiss to make it feel all better.

You Go Girl

I went really bright and colorful for the 3rd day of Anni-Verve-Sary challenges; this one is a sketch challenge. It has lots of layers and fun little shapes.

I grabbed my Echo Park paper, oh how I love them! The sentiment and heart cluster are in Verve's To the Moon; lots of great sentiment in this set.

You + Me

Ok, here we are with my entry for day 2 of the Anni-Verve-Sary challenge; this one is to make an anniversary card using either wood or silver or both- I opted for both.

The papers are from an older MME Lost & Found pad, it's elegant and thought it'd be perfect for an anniversary card. I used Jen's SFYTT for August as well. The sentiment from Verve's Love Notes was stamped onto vellum and then embossed. The small silver pearls were added under the sentiment. The rolled flower cluster was adhered to the top left of the sentiment and a heart punched from wood paper was added to the bottom right.

Time to Celebrate

I've thrown my hat into the ring by participating with Verve's Anni-Verve-Sary challenges; I love Verve and have my fingers and toes crossed that they pick my name for a prize or two! I'm never lucky that way, but you never know!!!

The first challenge is a color challenge, the colors are green, pink, and brown. My mind immediately went with a cupcake, big surprise there. LOL The papers are Echo Park's Everyday Eclectic; so stinkin' adorable.

The sentiment from Verve's Wish Big was stamped on a sentiment flag and popped up so you take notice.

Love at First Sip

And, here we are at Day 5 of the Anni-Verve-Sary challenges, this one was to make anything but a card. I opted for a water bottle tag.

I wrapped a strip of OA Schoolhouse dp around the water bottle itself, taking colors from the dp and using them on the tag.

The tag was cut with my Cameo using Terracotta Tile cs; the rustic cream cs was stamped with the medium and small flowers, leaves, and small heart from Verve's Dream Big.

The sentiment is from Better With You, it was stamped black ink and then embossed to really standout. I added a scallop border strip and a pretty bow at the top of the tag.

The butterfly from Blue Skies was stamped onto vellum and also embossed; I then fussy cut it and adhered it with crystal effects.

Flowers Are The Music

It was contest week on the Mojo Monday blog last week, and the sketch, MOJO253, was too fun to pass up.

I grabbed the Nostalgia pad from My Mind's Eye; this prompted me to use softer colors. Both sentiments are from Verve, Big Wish and Floral Symphony.

The yellow flower was rolled and then adhered over the leaf cluster; the bow was made with the help of the Bow Easy.

Brighten Your Day

Ok, it's Thursday and that means that My Time Made Easy has another fun sketch challenge for you.

I started with paper from the Bee Mine paper pack; the colors are so fun. Images are from Bee-Loved and I, again, used the print and cut feature in Silhouette Studio for the image panel. I never thought I'd use that feature, but I gotta tell ya, I love it. It's especially wonderful with digital stamps! The bee's wings were coated with stickles to be super sparkly!

Now, be sure to check out the My Time Made Easy blog to see even more inspiration from my DT sisters using this fun sketch, MTMEPPS69; and to see how you can win this month's prize just for playing along.

Eclectic Birthday Wishes

The newest August Viva la Verve sketch was a fun one to design with; lots of layers and fun elements. I need a few birthday cards, so I leaned in that direction. The papers are Echo Park's Everyday Eclectic, totally fun! I grabbed some fun patterns that would work for a masculine feeling card.

The sentiment is Verve's Wish Big, this set has some of the best birthday greetings sentiments.

You Make Me Smile

I grabbed my Carta Bella papers and made this card to give to as a thank you to a friend. I also used last week's Mojo Monday sketch, MOJO252, for the layout.

All the elements were cut with my Cameo, the rolled flowers accented with pearls. The flower on the image panel is Verve's Because of You, sentiment from Blue Skies.

Mmmmm, Yummy!

I made 10 of these bags for Cody's birthday party, they were sent home with each child.

I made the tags with the Well Rounded Tag cut file and coordinating Well Rounded stamp set; the sentiment is from Sweet Sentiments stamp set.

The Paper Bag cut file was cut from aqua and chartreuse cardstock and then embellished with some papers from my stash and some ribbon. The tag was tied on with some crochet thread.

The treat bags hold homemade fruit chews in a cello bag I tied with matching twine. They were a big hit!

Thank You Roses

I needed another thank you card and last week's sketch from the cleanandsimple blog, FTL202, fit the bill. I grabbed the gingham print from MTME Grammy's Pretty Patterns as well as my sentiment flag die and stamps from Lil Inker.

The roses are a print and cut from the Silhouette Store and they so beautiful.

Thank You_VLV

The first sketch for the Viva la Verve challenge was one I couldn't pass up; lots of glorious layers.

I started with a doily and layered on the remaining panels; the stamps are from Verve with the flowers being accented with gems. I am getting better at tying loopy bows, just gotta keep practicing.

To Do List

Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC164, came at the right time. I knew exactly what I wanted to do; this is for another birthday we have coming up. August is a birthday heavy month for us.

The papers are Echo Park's Note to Self and I've just about used every sheet of paper in it. The image panel is a print and cut from the Silhouette Store; I just re-sized it. I just added some cute little embellies.

HB2U Cody

Today is my Cody's 11th birthday! Happy Birthday sweet boy!

I can hardly believe that he's 11 and he just started 6th grade a few days ago. They grow up too fast.

I used the sketch, FTL201, from the cleanandsimple blog to make this super easy birthday card for the birthday boy. I also stamped the mat panel under the cut outs with the Crackle Background from PTI; then accented with a flourish or two from PTI's Fancy Flourishes. I used the colors we chose for his birthday party, summery and fresh.

Super simple, super cute!

I Mustache You

Jason, Duke's son & Cody's brother, is having a birthday soon so I thought I'd get his card done early and get it in the mail.

I started with Chupa's sketch, SSC170; then got busy cutting everything with my Cameo. I designed the word art in PSE9, then used it as a print and cut with the tag in Silhouette Studio. I am totally loving this feature as of late, it's priceless.

The dp is Echo Park's This & That: Charming; I just pierced below it for a little texture and interest.

August- A Year In Review

Today, the entire My Time Made Easy Design Team is using older templates, papers, and stamps for your inspiration.

I used Berry Sweet Basket for my project today; I've always loved it and it's perfect for summery gift and treats. I sized it to 50% and it's still quite roomy!

I bought some strawberry filled candies to place inside. The paper is from the Preserve It- Oranges and Strawberries pack; I chose this print since it looked like a lovely piece of fabric.

Be sure to visit the rest of the Design Team for even more inspiration, you won't be sorry!

Post Release Day

Today, the My Time Made Easy Design Team is pairing the new with the old. I have chosen an older template called Tricky Treat Tote and the new papers from Grammy's Pretty Patterns. I chose this gorgeous floral with a classic gingham for both the card and the tote.

The tag for the tote was made with the Well Rounded stamp set; the elements were colored in PSE9 to match the paper. I then used the print and cut feature of my Cameo as well as the Well Rounded Tag cut file cut them out.

My card is also for this week's sketch, MTMEPPS68; it was pretty fun to put together. I used a sentiment from the new Tooty Fruity Sentiments stamp set.

I used a combination of sheer ribbon and twine to accent the horizontal panels.

I cannot express how fun this release has been and I hope I've inspired you to get out your templates and stamps and get busy!

August Release: Sew Fruity

Today, we have a group post for My Time Made Easy's August Release. Everything is available for purchase today!

I am showing you a new box called Slice. It's perfect for any type of fruity gifts you give throughout the year. I made some fruit chews (recipe at the end of the post) to place in my box today; in fact, I'll be packaging these chews up to send with Cody's friends and family attending his birthday party this weekend.

I cut the Slice template (at 80%) with papers from Grammy's Pretty Patterns papers; the All Tied Up Rectangle cut file was used to wrap around the cello bag. You can see that I changed the size of that shape dramatically; it's so easy to do. I just added some ribbon and tied it off with a button and twine to make it a little prettier. The sentiment and image are from Tooty Fruity and Tooty Fruity sentiments stamp sets. The watermelon was colored in PSE9 and then I used the print and cut feature of my Cameo to cut it out.

Lauren also has some fun stuff to show you, she's using this month's Cut Files. You don't want to miss her post!

Here is the recipe for the Jell-O Fruit Chews. I've recently seen a few more recipes that use fruit juice concentrate or fruit juice, so if you want a healthier alternative, be sure to look for those. Enjoy!
