Slam Dunk

The son of another co-worker was recently named MVP of his basketball team, I was commissioned to make him a card to celebrate this accomplishment.

I used a series of cuts from the Silhouette Store to help me. The basketball detail was too small to cut properly (my paper kept tearing), so I just drew in the lines. The basket and player are popped up with boosters.

I was so happy to find this sheet of paper in my stash, it totally looks like a gym floor.

Welcome Baby

A co-worker of mine recently welcomed her first grandchild into the world, a baby boy. I had just picked up some Echo Park paper and was busting to start using it.

I used the Mojo Monday sketch from a few weeks ago, the image panel was perfectly sized for the TE Onesie. I added a bit of washi tape behind the image (love it when I can qualify for a challenge too)  and then mounted the SP & Co. sentiment with a double helping of boosters.

Amazing Grace

I managed to complete all the Viva la Verve sketches for February! This week's sketch  is pretty CAS, so I went with lots of pattern and color. I used a mix of papers from different manufacturers; I thought they looked great together.

I used a few Plain Janes on this one; the Amazing Grace sentiment and those beautiful leaves.

A Pillow of Softness

I was in the mood for some soft colors this weekend and needed a box to gift some small candies. I CASE'd this pillow box by Lynn; it was crazy beautiful and I loved all the layers!

The box was cut with my cameo and then stamped with SP & Company's Diamond Background, you can pick it up for $1 now! Wouldn't you know, I picked it up before it went into retirement.

I used a lovely gingham paper for the accordion flower and stamped the leaves with the Diamonds Background as well. I needed a small sentiment for my flower center and grabbed one from Bold Sentiments I; there's a sentiment for nearly every occasion in this set. Once adhered, I coated it with glossy accents.

Take Time to Celebrate

I wanted to participate in the challenge at Scrapmaster's Paradise this week since it was to use washi tape. I only have one measly roll of washi tape and I used it on the heart of this cute Cupcake Doodle digital stamp.

The cupcake was colored, the frosting has been popped up as has the heart. Once it adhered each of the layers, I added some sprinkles with my white sharpie.

I played along in another color challenge, CQC177, the color palette was tempting. I tied some twine around the image panel and added a flourish. The sentiment from Bold Sentiments I was stamped in the bottom right corner.

Hello Sunshine

Here I am with another card for the February Viva la Verve challenges. I wanted to use this flower that I colored a few weeks ago, it was getting rather lonely sitting on my table.

I grabbed some older Simple Stories papers, I believe this is Summer Fresh. I love the colors and am so ready for Spring. Maybe if I use spring-like papers and colors, the Spring weather will come.

Once the card front was completed, I sprayed it with Mr. Huey's Shine spray for some shimmer and sparkle.

Blue Birthday Wishes

I decided to use this card for my friend's birthday earlier in the week. I love all the blue prints from Echo Park's For the Record 2, especially that floral.

The sketch is the second in the Viva la Verve challenge, I immediately knew I wanted to use a bow with the tails hanging down. The sentiment from Big Wish was accented with some pretty blue gems.

You're Always on my Mind

I've been wanting to play along in the Viva la Verve challenges for this month, but up until Saturday hadn't found the time. But, here is my card for the 1st challenge.

I used some travel themed papers with a sentiment from Always on my Mind. The little heart dangle was colored with copics to stand out against the sentiment.

Enjoy Today

I found time to participate in another color challenge at Scrapmaster's Paradise, SPCC135. Ironically, I colored the image the night before and they matched the challenge colors perfectly, I love it when that happens. Typically, I am not a fan of color challenges.

The image is another freebie from Whimsie Doodles; I used Glossy Accents on her boots and the banner in her hands. The sentiment from SP and Company's Bold Sentiments I was stamped to the side of the image. There is a sentiment for nearly every occasion in this set.

Hap- Bee Birthday

I have a co-worker with a birthday, it was yesterday, but we're celebrating today at work. She's an animal lover, so I chose this uber cute turtle-bee freebie from Whimsie Doodles.

I used the sketch from The Sweet Stop this week, SSS198. I loved all the layers and this turtle was perfect for the image panel.A happy bonus is that it's a sketch w/ a spin & prize : Birds and/ or Bees. Well, I'm not sure my turtle qualifies as a bee, but he is dressed as one. LOL

I added some polka dots to the image with a white Sharpie paint pen and some stickles to the wings. A sweet little bow was added to the top of the image. 

UR Absolutely Fabulous

Today, I woke up to a gloriously beautiful color challenge and a sketch I wanted to work with. First up are the colors, I played along in the JUGS176 color challenge. I usually shy away from color challenges, but the colors are so pretty together and I knew what I wanted to do.

Then, I used FTL228 for the layout. I employed my Cameo to cut out the letters and border for the sentiment panel.

All the stamps I used today are from SP and Company. I recently discovered them while trying out for their Design Team...I've got my fingers crossed that I make it! I stamped the sentiment from Bold Sentiments I, then accented with some clear gems. I embossed the Diamond Background stamp using clear embossing powder, then placed it behind the letters for a little interest. I just finished the card off with some ribbon.

Music of Life

I colored those sweet little flowers one night about 2 weeks ago and had hoped to get a card made with them the next night. Unfortunately, it never happened.

I used 3 sets from Verve on this card, I love when I can mix and match stamp sets. Both of the flowers are popped up on boosters. *the ribbon matches the dark purple well, but it's "off" in the photo* Some gems at the bottom of the sentiment finishes this card off.

Happy Valentine's Day

Here's the card I've tucked into Cody's backpack. I used CAS(E) this sketch 14 for the layout, super cute, super simple. I also broke out my Simon Says Stamps exclusives, Lots of Hearts and Just a Love Note. The heart and the sentiment on the chocolate strip were clear embossed.

Yep, More Lollies!

This should be the last of the Valentine's Day lollipop treats 'til next year. I've had so much fun making them! This time around, I made a set of 8, although I'm only showing 4.

This time I made a glassine bag style holder out of some lovely Echo Park paper for these cute Jolly Rancher lollies. The heart embellishment was purchased from the Silhouette Store; I just cut them with some coordinating cardstock. The black hearts and hearts on top were stamped with images from CTMH's Whoo's Your Valentine set.

Just a Love Note

I wanted to play along with Mojo279 since it was contest week! I love to participate anyway, the sketches are super fun.

I used some stamps from Simon Says Stamp, and am entering this in their challenge this week  I added those sweet little hearts to the sentiment panel and used Glossy Accents to embellish them.

This is a card made from scraps as well, I'm glad to have used some up. My expandable folder is getting rather full and I'm unable to close it!

So Many Blends

The MFT sketch for this week, MFTWSC110, was one I had to use. I need a card to send to a HS friend that I have been remiss in writing.

I used my favorite A la Mode, Miss You a Latte, with some older MME papers; lots of coordinating patterns on this one. I colored my image to match the papers and then cut her out and adhered her to the sentiment panel. The sentiment is from Clearly Sentimental about Coffee; I love these themed sentiment sets.

This card will accompany a single serve Via packet. Hopefully, she'll have time to make a cuppa and write back!

Lollipop Bouquet

I picked up these cute li'l lollies at Wal-Mart, they come 10 in a pack for $1. I resized an envelope in Silhouette Studio, grabbed 3 coordinating sheets of Echo Park paper, Sweet N Sassy's Bottom of My Heart stamp set, and some ribbon and got to work.

I didn't bother with ribbon on any of the others, Cody said it was too much! His class is mostly boys after all. The three with ribbon will got to the only three girls in his class.

Here they are waiting until Valentine's Day.

Happy Thoughts

I wanted to use the CAS[E} this Sketch 13 this week, it's a keeper! And, I managed to also use the colors from this week's Color Throwdown, CTD227, they are so pretty together.

The flowers from Verve's Brighter Days were stamped, colored, and then fussy cut. I colored the medium and small flowers, using the center of the small one to layer onto the medium flower. The flower was adhered  to the white panel over M FT's Flourish die-namics. The sentiment also from Verve was white embossed and added to the image panel.

Lollipop Line Up

I have lots of lollipop treats to make in the coming days before Valentine's Day. I grabbed some Echo Park paper and Mini Critters stamp set from Sweet N Sassy stamps; the hearts and sentiment flags were cut with my cameo. Once the lollies were covered, I secured them with some hemp cord and mini glue dots.

MTME: A Release In Review

This is the final day of MTME's February release! Today, we're all showing you projects featuring older products.

I chose to work with the Pinch Me template since I haven't used it before. It came together super quick as well; it's only two pieces.

I wanted it to look like and apple (my son thinks it's a strawberry, guess that works too!), as I am sending this to his teacher.

The box was tied with some peapod twine and filled with Skittles. The label from Round Off was colored in PSE9 in colors to match the papers. I used the print & cut feature to cut it out, adhering to the box top with a small dimensional. A small white flower was added for a little more interest.

MTME Post Release: Little Princess

My project today uses the Party Like a Princess cut file. I used it as a cone treat container and printed some fun paper in bright colors from Grammy's Pretty Patterns and Gaga for Gingham. The sentiment is from Simply Enchanting; I used the print & cut feature to place it on the oval found in the Over the Top cut file.

February Release: Fit for a Princess!

Today is the day you can get all the new products being released from My Time Made Easy! I made my Castle in the Clouds template to match the Riding in Coach template I peeked yesterday.

I printed some papers from Custom Construction Materials and colored them with my copics; it was definitely a labor of love. Nearly all the aqua castle accents were embellished with LOTS of stickles. Inside the box I have some fun purple nail polish, notepad, and pencils. 

I wanted to make a card for the young lady that's getting all these goodies. So, I used the print & cut feature to help me with Her Royal Highness as well as the sentiment from Simply Enchanting.
