I have a co-worker friend that is celebrating a birthday on Friday, this will be her card. I just puffy heart these Tiddly Inks images; I think this one is called Annie's Card. As you can see, I used more of the Echo Park papers, this might be the last of it for a little bit.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is the card I made for Duke; lots of red and hearts. I used Jen's SFYTT for the month of February. I also used more of Echo Park's Your Truly paper, man oh man I love that pack of paper.

The sentiment is from PTI, another from the Fillable Frames series. I stamped it with white ink to make it a little easier to read. All the elements were cut out using my Cameo.

Be My Valentine

I made this to send to school in Cody's backpack for tomorrow; hopefully, he finds it before the day goes by. You just never know with him.

The hearts on a string are from Kerri Bradford, I love her style. Of course, this cut is rather delicate and you have to be careful when cutting and getting it off the mat (ask me how I know). I added some patterned paper and stickles to some of the hearts on the line and also a few dropping off.

The sentiment is from PTI, from one of the Fillable Frames sets (I am too lazy to look it up right now). I used the super fun sketch from The Sweet Stop, SSS145; I love the larger panel and sometimes overthink it when nothing immediately comes to mind.

Valentine's Tray

I decorated my 7gypsies tray with some goodies from Kerri Bradford; she puts together kits to decorate them with cutting files and pre-sized papers for each cubby. I think these kits are on sale today.

I typically decorate mine identical to her sample, but I didn't use photos as she suggested. I only have a b&w laser printer at home and it's not the best at printing pics. So, it's sans photos, but I did add more die cuts.

It's Thursday! We have a new sketch up at the My Time Made Easy blog, MTMEPPS47. I was initially very leery of this sketch, but I am anjoying how my card turned out. My main panel ended up a little larger than I intended, but it's all good.

I'll link the sentiment later, my satellite internet is soooooo slow right now and I'm doing good just to get the photo uploaded. *ETA- the sentiment is from Sensational Sentiments.

I saw the cutest card from Denise a while ago featuring an image from Tiddly Inks. I went to the site (shame on me) and got a few for myself.

This one is Annie's Heart and I just {heart} her. I used up some of the Echo Park paper I had sitting on my table to complete this super simple card. The heart in her hand was covered with Crystal Effects.

The final preparations are going on behind the scenes here; I have lots of boxes to make for the big day. Not doing all that much for Cody's classroom this year, but my peeps at work always look forward to something on their desk during the holidays.

Not sure who is getting this one, but it holds 3 Lindor Truffles. The box is one I got at the Silhouette Store, just sized down from the original size since I didn't need it so large. The papers are from Echo Park, oh how I love them.

You Make Me a Better Person

I am happy to be back from a short break in my MTMEPPS Design Team responsibilities; had to hash out some personal stuff. While it's not completely worked out, I am able to carve out some stamping time during the week. So, here I am with this week's sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS46.

Since I am still in Valentine's Day mode, I made a sweet card using Fanciful Flourishes and Sensational Sentiments. The papers are new, from the Candy Kisses paper pack. The heart argyle pattern has to be my very favorite!

I used some PTI stamps- Stitches and Swirls and the sentiment is from an older Anniversary set- and papers, the flowers were cut on my Cameo. I outlined the background images with a copic marker just to add a little more dimension.

This is for the 4th and final January Viva la Verve sketch challenge, a clean & simple favorite. I did take the liberty to embellish a bit.

The flower from Verve's Great Friend set was jazzed up with some gems from Pizzazzaplenty. The sentiment is from Verve's Sip & Savor set, dontcha just love that font?! And, the Notebook Plain Jane adds a little something extra on the image panel. As per usual lately, all the elements were cut with my Cameo.

Goodie Box

I am hooked on these super cute boxes from the Silhouette Store, this one has 4 compartments inside to hold lots of goodies. I plan to put covered mint patties in this one, but grabbed the red hots I have on hand at the moment just to give you an idea of what it looks like filled.

Everything was cut with my Cameo; and although you can't really see it in the pic, the rolled flowers were stamped with a background from Taylored Expressions. I haven't been stamping a whole lot lately, but I am hoping to start up again sometime next month. Lots of things going on here.

I don't know about you, but the Yours Truly paper pack from Echo Park is rocking my world, it's so lovely!

Seize the Cupcake

I needed a birthday card, our publisher's birthday is the 20th....just a few days after mine. I knew for sure I wanted to use this BG paper, I really love it. I don't do well with BG papers, don't know what it is, but I'm not successful with them.

The sketch is Karen's SSSC150, perfect for the cupcakes and the papers, for real. I like it when I know exactly which supplies I am going to use when I see a sketch. The stamps are Verve's Carpe Cupcake and this is one of the only times I've used them. The image panel was cut with nesties and the 2nd cupcake was cut out and mounted on top. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark.

I'm trying to get used to coloring with my copics again, it's been a realllllly long time and I am out of practice. With so many other things (mostly unpleasant) going on, it felt great to focus on something that brings me pleasure. The escape is good for my soul.

Trying to get a few more Valentine's Day cards ready; I do love the holiday. I used a zebra background cut with my Cameo for the main panel, then added stickles to the inside stripes. Super sparkly in real life.

The sentiment flag was stamped with a sentiment from TCP's Got Love? set; and the bow was tied with the Bow Easy.

Red Hots for the Red Hot

So, I as I mentioned before, I am in full Valentine's Day mode. Hopefully I won't get sick of it before I get all my projects finished.

I purchased this box from the Silhouette Store specifically for the project you see today. I always gift Duke with Red Hot Candies, they are one of his faves and since they go so well with Valentine's Day, this is what he typically gets. This box is cut the original size which is quite small, only about 2x2. For his gift, I will make it slightly larger to accommodate a whole bag of the candies....he's a little selfish with them! LOL

The box and all other elements were cut using my Cameo; I love how quick and easy these kinds of projects come together.

I am determined to play along each month with Jen's SFYTT; last year I missed posting on time in May therefore excluding myself from the drawing to win lotsa new goodies.

I pulled out some old stamps, All About Love Sentiments from Amy R Stamps available at All That Scraps. The papers are from My Mind's Eye, Lost & Found Madison Avenue collection; the papers are so soft and pretty.

I tied the ribbon bow with the Bow Easy and just adhered it with a glue dot next to the sentiment circle. All of the shapes were cut with my Cameo machine; minus the border punch.

This makes my 4th V-Day card, just a zillion more to go!

I am sooo happy that the Viva la Verve challenges are back, I love their sketches. This is for the 1st sketch for January. I am in full Valentine's Day mode and was happy to get another card made. I'm hoping to sell them at work!

I, again, used Echo Park's Yours Truly papers. The doily, heart, and sentiment flag were cut using my Cameo. The sentiment is from Verve's Love Notes, I'll be getting lots of use from this set this year. I wrapped some twine up for a extra fluffy bow on the button.

I picked Echo Park paper perfect for the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday, Yours Truly. It has some classic colors and patterns with a few surprises thrown in.

Using this week's sketch from the clean&simple blog, FTL172 and some die cuts, I created my card. I added some flatback pearls to the scallops of the circle. The sentiment and hearts are from Verve's Love Notes.

I love, love the Mojo Monday sketch this week, MOJO222. I wanted to make something for Valentine's Day; it's my favorite holiday outside of Christmas. I just love the colors, the cute stamps, the extra little bit of love in the air; not to mention all the wonderful candies you can find. LOL

I pulled out some papers from My Mind's Eye that was perfect for the layout and for Valentine's Day, it looks so romantic.

The elements were cut with my Cameo, love that machine I tell ya. I stamped the sentiment from Verve One Person set onto the patterned paper for a little more depth and cohesion; I also stamped onto the leaves of the flower using an image from the same set with VersaMark.

This week's sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS41, is another that allows for quick and easy cards. I love the long panel on the one side and the space for a sentiment square. In this case, I used Steno Note Pretty Pieces Cut File for the placeholder for the felt flower and placed the sentiment from Just For You underneath. The paper the flower is on is from School Ruled which is one of my favorite paper packs.

The strip was made using Well Rounded Tag Pretty Pieces cut file; I stamped, in VersaMark, a pattern from Puckered Up Patterns on the bottom part of the tag.

Happy Birthday Elizabeth

Today is my niece's 23rd birthday! Happy Birthday Elizabeth Noel!! Dang, my brother is old!!!!! LOL

I wanted to make a cute and sparkly card for her since she's cute and sparkly. I used the colors from this week's OCC challenge, I loved the color scheme. The white paper is shimmery; it's so hard to photograph. I used Mrs. Candy Claus digi paper from My Time Made Easy that I thought really tied the colors together. I also opted to use the sketch from the clean&simple blog, FTL171. I moved the circle element to the side since I didn't want to cover my sparkly numbers.

The sentiment is from Birthday Cheer which is my go-to set for birthday cards. The variety of the phrases are fabulous, something for everyone. It's not available in rubber any longer, but you can still get it in digi form.

Paper Makeup Stamps is still clearing out the rubber, stamps are on sale for 60% off. Get on over there and grab what's left!

Gift Card Holder

This is the gift card holder I made for Cody; it holds a McDonald's gift card.

The tag and kraft panel were embossed for a little texture. The snowflake and white portion of the candy were cut from shimmer cardstock and it really adds the perfect amount of glitz. The candy was wrapped with a cello bag I cut in half and then tied with some twine.

Here is the inside where you put the gift card. The boy loves this color green so I use it as often as I can for him.

Merry Christmas Ornaments

When I saw last week' sketch, FTL170, I knew what I wanted to do. Once the ornaments were cut with my Silhouette, I stamped them with images from PTI's Mehndi Medallion set with VersMark and then adhered 3 together to make a 3-d ornament.

The sentiment is from PTI's A Wreath for All Seasons.

Well, today is my last day at work, I'll be on vacation; I have the next 10 days off! I am very excited and even though we aren't going anywhere....it'll be nice! I love sitting in my jammies and taking naps!

Butterfly Garden

The quote is from All a Flutter sentiments and is so pretty; I added the vellum butterfly all decked out in silver pearls to to the top rosette.

A Gift for Katie

Well, my (10 year old) son is "going out" with the girl of his dreams! LOL He's been stressing over how to tell a girl that he liked her and he wants her to "go out" with him, he was so nervous.

They had a movie on Friday and she sat next to him. Apparently he spent the whole day being "super nice" so she'd notice him. Well, before you know it, she had her head on his shoulder and he was breathing a sigh of relief. It was such a cute story!

We went shopping for a Christmas gift for her on Saturday; she told Cody she wanted nails. Well, we got nail polish beause he finally admitted that she wanted to decorate her nails instead. So, we found scented polish in some pretty colors that was in our price range.

I grabbed some paper with some of the same colors in it; it's American Crafts. The box was cut with my Silhouette, as was the bow. The bow was cut with 3 different colors, it's so tall on the box and looks super cute. I placed a large pearl in the center.

Reindeer Treats

This is the same shaped box I used yesterday, they come together so easily! These are for the (5) fellas at work and are filled with the same yummy truffles. Funny story about the truffles; they're made by Palmer and there's a banner on it that states "the working man's truffle". Crazy funny!

I used smaller pom poms for the nose and I think they're so cute. Especially with those googly eyes.

Santa Boxes

I needed some quick treat boxes (5) for the ladies at work, so I went ahead and used this super cute box that is perfect for the season.

I used different shades of red for the box, some textured. The beard and hat cuff were embossed and then adhered; adding pearls for a little more interest. I used googly eyes instead of punched black circles; the holly leaves were folded in half and then accented with a red rhinestone. The final touch was a sparkly pom pom to the end of the hat.

The inside holds 2 truffles, yum!

Pocket Doorhanger

This week's sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS39, is a keeper. I decided to use this super cute reindeer from Holly Jolly and a fun argyle pattern from Cool Cooking. I think this might qualify as a holiday card even though it uses non-traditional colors.

I colored my reindeer a touch too dark, but he's still a cutie. I embossed the image once it was colored to simulate snowfall. Cindy Haffner does this and I have always loved the way it looks.

I used this super cute snowman from Snow Happy to create a doorhanger for Cody's bedroom door. He's always hoping for snow days, so I thought he'd find this encouraging.

I added a snowy landscape panel covered in stickles. It looks a little pink, but I guess it's just the angle. I cut the title with my Silhouette and covered it in stickles as well.

2011 Advent Calendar

When I saw this cool advent calendar from Silhouette America, I knew I wanted it. I love that the openings are different, some large, some small. Lots of variation in the box styles too.

I used Echo Park papers with PTI Vintage Cream cardstock to complete each box; this took about 3-4 hours to create; so not a quick project, but a rewarding one. I worked on it in between other projects. Granted, I just got it done this weekend, but we've still got time to enjoy it.

The package comes with the wooden advent calendar and a special download card for 42 boxes specifically designed to fit each opening. I decided not to number my boxes this year, but I will going forward.

Gift Card Holders

My friend, Barb, gave me a cool card holder the other day and I thought perhaps I'd make some gift card holders to place in them to entice the peeps at work to purchase them for their gift cards this year.

I cut these with my Silhouette, easy peasy. And then stamped each with a variety of snowflakes in a variety of colors using Paper Makeup Stamps' Snow Happy set. It's one of my favorite sets. (It's out of stock in the rubber version, but you can still get it as a digi!)

I'm not sure if you've heard or not, but Paper Makeup Stamps is going to an all digital company. This means that ALL the rubber has been discounted drastically. So, if you've had your eye on anything, you might wanna get to the store quickly....once it's gone, it's gone.

Perky Lil Penguin

This week we're doing a review of My Time Made Easy sketches 19-24; I chose MTMEPPS19 because it's a great layout and because I already had an image colored.

I paired Perky Lil Penguin with some lovely Echo Park papers; loving the traditional colors this year. I just added some stickles to his scarf once the image was mounted onto the card front.

Viva Winter Wishes

So, since I had the Echo Park papers out already, I decided to tackle the final November Viva la Verve challenge....just look at all those layers.

I cut all the elements out with my Silhouette, love that machine! The sentiment is from Verve's Merry Wishes. I accented with some shiny silver pearls and some peridot gems.

More Tags

I opted to make a few more tags (a set of 6) this past weekend; I need quite a few. I'll be getting the ingredients together soon to make some quick breads for the folks at work for Christmas; it'll be a mostly handmade/ homebaked holiday this year. I picked up a Wilton mini loaf pan from Wal-Mart this weekend as well.

This is my take on some tags I spotted on the MFT store home page.

I started with a kraft base; the paper is in one of those packs from Hobby Lobby. The paper is quite thin, but it works ok for these tags since so much is added to them. I, however, prefer a thicker cardstock and simply won't make the mistake of getting those packs again.

The kraft tags was embossed with either a woodgrain or damask folder for a touch of texture. I then cut the frame shape with my Silhouette from the lovely Echo Park paper. I also cut the mint and numbers out of some textured red cardstock.

I wrapped the candy in a cello bag that I cut in half, then tied closed with twine. The candy and numbers were adhered with boosters and sticky glue dots. The sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps; it was stamped, punched with an oval punch, then mounted in the center of the frame.

Lastly, I added some ribbon tied with more twine and a sweet little button.

Tags, Glorious Tags

I recently did a photo tutorial for the Paper Makeup Stamps newsletter; timed perfectly for the upcoming gift season. It's all about tags, glorious tags.

The above picture is my set of 6 tags; some will go on the bread I'm making for gifts and others will hold a gift card on the back.

I used several cut elements- the doilies, banner flags, and the accordion flowers. The sentiments are from the new Handmade Set and those were punched out and adhered to the accordion flower.

The sentiment from My Time Made Easy's A Spot of Tea was perfectly sized to fit into the center of the leaf wreath. The scallop circle was embellished some some shiny silver pearls.

I needed a cute thank you card for a friend and thought the Viva la Verve sketch looked like a winner.

The papers are PTI, I'm down to just a few sheets of it. Grateful to be using it up finally, seems like I've had it forever. Anyway, all the elements were cut with my Silhouette- except for the horizontal border and the felt loopy flower.

The sentiment is from Verve, I love the font found in this set.

Well, hopefully later today I will be starting on the prep work for Thanksgiving dinner.....this'll be after I take the boy ice skating. I can't wait to sit down with my family and enjoy the day.

Thanksgiving 2011 Placecards

This year I am hosting Thanksgiving dinner; just the three of us and my parents. I thought it would be nice to have placecards on the plates when we get to the dinner table. Hopefully, it sets the mood for the feast I am preparing.

I cut each placecard and acorn with my Silhouette; the acorn bottoms were stamped with various stamps from PTI's Bitty Background Blocks.

True Friend Mojo

The Mojo Monday sketch last week, MOJO215, was calling out to me. I knew I wanted a big flower for the corner and decided on this dandelion bloom from the Silhouette Store; the leaves are from Kerri Bradford and were stamped with a small flower from Springtime Solids. I like how sunny and bright the card feels.

I love this sentiment from When There's Nothing Left to Say; and most often, it's those around us that can read between the lines and help us through some of our darkest times. That flower really helps bring in a ray of sunshine.

Made of Snow MTME

This week's sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS36, is a good one, perfect for those quick cards that are especially useful this time of year.

I used the cute l'il snowman from Made of Snow for my card, utilizing some stickles for sparkle. The snowflakes and scallop background were cut with my Silhouette- being able to size them perfectly for the card is such a great feature.
I accented the snowflakes with some silver pearls and tiny pink gems from Pizzazzaplenty. I was so happy to have maintained a very soft look; I tend to overdo it when it comes to color.

My niece has a birthday coming up at the end of December, she'll be 23. *SIGH* Where does the time go and how did I get so old?!

This week's Viva la Verve sketch was perfect for the card I wanted to send her. It needs to be bright and colorful; they live in Illinois so the weather can get a little dreary in the winter. Plus, their house burned down on Halloween and I am sure they can appreciate a little color and thoughts of big dreams coming their way.

The sentiment is from Verve's Great Friend and the flower was stamped with the Graph Paper Plain Jane for a touch of subtle pattern.

This week's sketch from the Sweet Stop, SSS134, was pretty straightforward and I was jumping at the chance to use my new MFT Die-Namics...the loopy flower. They are everywhere and I am thrilled to be able to make them with felt instead of only paper. Sure wish the Silhouette cut felt.

Anyhoo, the sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps and it's available in rubber and digi; glad it's offered both ways. Here, I used the rubber version.

I cut the image panel/mat, some leaves, and the border with my Silhouette, love that machine! The paper is from Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather, from last year or later.

Mojo Winter Wishes

I had some time on Saturday to sit and make a card fro this week's Mojo Monday sketch, MOJO214. I used some Christmas-y looking papers from MME Lost and Found: Union Square.

All the elements were cut with my Silhouette; the poinsettia, the banner flag, the rosette, the leaves and the image panel. I used Verve's Merry Wishes set for the sentiment and the faux misteltoe.

I added little bits of stickles to the poinsettia tips and some pearls for the centers.

Well, here we are again, reviewing the latest release from Paper Makeup Stamps. I just adore the new Handmade set; it's just perfect for all the little things we crafters gift throughout the year.

I bought a package of 6 lip glosses last year after Christmas and have re-packaged them into this cute little box. I could NOT wait to use this clever little sentiment for the outside of it.

The rosette was topped with some circle punches and then I topped the box with a portion of a doily accented with pearls.

PMS November Release, Review Day 1

Today we are reviewing the latest release from Paper Makeup Stamps. Lots of fun new stamps have been added to the store, this one being among them. She's one of the new additions to the Color Kids line; Color Kids: Gift Wrapper.

I paired the image with the November SFYTT and some lovely Echo Park papers. The image was colored to match the papers in the bottom strip...but it got a little covered up. *whoops* I added some silver pearls to the image panel and a few gems act as buttons for her sweater.

Glossy Ornament

This week's sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS35, scared me alot! I wasn't sure what to do with the 2 circle elements at all. I finally decided on a doily and a snowflake made of vellum. I accented the vellum with some stickles for a little sparkle, it had also been embossed.

I really love this paper pattern from Mrs. Candy Claus; totally reminds me of Christmas candy canes. The ornament, cut from Beautiful Baubles, was covered with crystal effects; I stamped the band with Puckered Up Patterns. The ornament topper was covered with stickles.

Some final touches include red gems on the doily and gold cording for the ornament hook.

Verve-y Winter Wishes

Another fun sketch from the Verve Forum, VLVNOV2011, for the first week of November. I chose to use some My Mind's Eye Lush papers I picked up recently.

The giant snowflake was cut with my Silhouette as were the circles for the image panel. The snowflake was embellished with shiny silver pearls from Pizzazzaplenty.

The image is from Winter Mittens and I just used the heart to embellish each mitten and then fastened a button with some twine to a small snowflake to act as the mitten string anchor. Loving the little pop of red.

Hugs and Smiles

The 5th October Viva la Verve sketch was another goodie, I love the 3 panels behind the image. I used up some of the Lost & Found papers (My Mind's Eye) that I have been using for most of the VLV sketches. This one is going to my younger sister for her birthday.

All the shapes were cut on my Silhouette. I tell ya, that machine is coming in handy these days. I am slowly learning to rely on it more as a valuable tool.

I embossed the leaves with a woodgrain embossing folder for just a touch more texture. It almost looks like corrugated cardboard. The loopy flower is awesome! It was pretty easy to make too; after all the Silhouette did the cutting. All I did was roll it and then glue it together. Easy!

The sentiment from Kind Words was accented with some pearls.

Here is a close up of the loopy flower. You can see how full it is; although I wish I had fluffed each of the loops up a bit more. Can't wait to make more of these.

PMS November Release Blog Hop

I used Color It: Winter Tags for my card today. I combined 2 of the images from the set- the stocking and the bit of holly.

The image was colored to match my very colorful papers and then accented with stickles. I stamped the sentiment in white, it's hard to see at this angle.

PMS November Release Sneak Peeks, Day 1

We have an exciting release this month. Lots of wonderful additions to your collection, especially helpful during the holiday season.

Today we are featuring all the singles being released on November 7th.

I get to show you Hayden; she's a precious fairy blowing a sweet wintry kiss and she comes with a sentiment as well (not shown here).

Here I colored her to match the background paper from Echo Park. The shapes were cut with my Silhouette. While the colors are a little non-traditional for Christmas, I decided to go with red and green for her outfit.

I added flock to her boots, mittens, and collar; stickles to her wings, and a glitter pen on the swirlies.

Frost Bitten MTMEPPS34

This week's sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS34 is another simple one, perfect for a quick card. I used lots of pink for this one!

I chose to use the Mrs. Candy Claus paper pack, it has lots of fun patterns and pretty colors. Then I cut the Frost Bitten mittens with my Silhouette, embossing after they were assembled. Then, I just hung them on twine with a large brad.

This was for the 4th Viva la Verve sketch in October. I loved its simplicity and made yet another subdued card using My Mind's Eye Lost & Found papers. While the patterns here are somewhat masculine, a few feminine touches brings it right around.

The shapes were cut on my Silhouette, I love that I can make them whatever size I want. Plus, you can design it right on the work area so that you get everything the right size.

The sentiment is from Verve.

Fall Wreath

I picked up some silk leaves at the Dollar Tree a month or so ago with the intent to do something with them. I ended up with this grapevine wreath and just hot glued them onto it. Once they were in place, I added a touch of stickles to the leaves for a bit of glam.

The banner and letters were cut with the Silhouette machine and then strung on with some twine. Each letter has some glitter on it as well.

Here is the Halloween card I made for Cody. Hopefully, he finds it in his mess of a backpack today!

The spinner is one I purchased from the Silhouette Store, it's super fun to use. I just stamped some Halloween words from PTI's Friendship Jar Fall Fillers set and put together a simple card.

Boo!

I decided to BOO! three of our neighbors this year. Two got the above pumpkins filled with yummy candies and popcorn. A third got a popcorn bucket filled with much of the same candies.

I even put in some chocolate and candy corn....those things are hard to come by at this house! LOL

Here is a close up of the jumbo tag. I got the BOOd Poem from Paper Crafts last week. I just typed it into Word and then sized it for the tags. I used some fun papers too, love all the purple on these and the plaid is really pretty.

The stamps are PTI's Friendship Jar Fall Fillers; it has really come in handy this Halloween season. All the shapes were cut with my Silhouette machine, it's been getting a workout over the last few weeks.

Spooky Sweets

This is the box, filled with caramels, that I gifted Duke for Halloween. The box was free for a time on Lori Whitlock's blog a while back. I was thankful to get it, it's just cute, cute, cute.

The accordion flower is from Lori Whitlock too, got it in the Silhouette Store as part of an award ribbon ensemble. I used some plaid Halloween paper for the flower since the box colors are just plain cardstock. The sentiment is from PTI's Friendship Jar: Fall Fillers, again, it's been getting a workout this season.

Halloween Treats

These tombstones were too cute not to make for Halloween. I just placed 2 mini KitKat bars in there with some glue dots. These were general office treat boxes(I made 15) .

The dp pumpkin (I made 2) were for Cody's teacher and her assistant. The other pumpkin (I made 4) were for some of the gals at work. Each has some chocolate inside.

All the boxes were cut with my Silhouette and then assembled. Super easy!

I saw a project like this HERE and was determined to make one. I intended to hang this on my office door at work, but it was promptly seized at the Accounting Office. I left the raffia all wonky on purpose, I think it adds to the charm of the broom.

This was for the 2nd October Viva la Verve challenge. I used the same My Mind's Eye Lost & Found papers as yesterday's card. Love the soft and romatic feel of it.

I used Verve's Sip & Savor again, as well as Better With You; with shapes from the Silhouette Store.

I thought this qualified as shabby chic, and I really like it. Totally different from my clean, simple, layered style.

This was for the 1st October Viva la Verve challenge. I used Verve's Sip and Savor with some fun My Mind's Eye Lost & Found papers and shapes from the Silhouette Store. It's been a while that I have colored, so it was nice and relaxing to use my markers again.

I also appreciated the neutral color palette, this might even be able to pass as a masculine card....except maybe the scalloped shapes.

For the 3rd October Viva la Verve sketch, I decided to make a fall card. I got so excited to use the rich colors of the season and haven't made very many cards with them so far. The dp is PTI's Autumn Abundance from last year. All of the elements for the card except for the border were cut with my Silhouette (with files from the Silhouette Store).

I embossed the upper circular element under the leaves; the acorn tops were also embossed. The sentiment, from Verve's Always on My Mind set, was stamped with chocolate ink and then adhered right above the ribbon.

Trick or Treat Mojo

Last week's Mojo Monday sketch, Mojo209, was a good one. I love circles and knew I had to play along. Plus, the ribbon treatment looked really intersting.

Classroom Treats, Part 3

Here are the last of the treat boxes for the kids. This one is Frankie inspired- the name of this one is: frankie_tootsie_treat_box_C00121_30551 in the Silhouette Store

The googlie eyes make this project so fun, and that scar, and the hair too. Again, they are just tied with twine on the ends to hold in the 2 gumballs.

I am hoping these will be a big hit since I probably will be banned from doing them for class next year, he's just getting too old for it he says. In essence, it'last hurrah. *sniff, sniff*

Cody and I went to see Real Steel this weekend and we loved it! Of course, it doesn't hurt that Hugh Jackman is in it, LOL! Pretty awesome!

It's Thursday, so it's time for a sketch from My Time Made Easy. This week we're doing a review of sketches 13-18. I chose MTMEPPS16 since I loved it the first time around.

I used some paper from Prima that's just perfect for the holiday season. I am trying to get a few Christmas cards done here and there so I can hand a few out.

I love this little stocking cut file from My Time Made Easy perfectly named The Stockings Were Hung. I embossed the stocking cuff and added a little jingle bell for some Christmas flair.

Classroom Treats, Part 2

These are little bat treat boxes, bat_tootsie_treat_box_C00112_30551 that I found on the Silhouette Store. They are super cute and I think the 5 boys who get them will be thrilled with them. We chose different colored eyes for each and you can see that one pair of eyes is extra large. Cody and I were experimenting and thought those eyes look an awful lot like Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon. *Guess who wants that particular bat box?*

I just tied the sides up with twine, added the eyes and called it a day. I think they turned out great and can't wait to hear what the kids have to say this year.

Classroom Treats, Part 1

I have 3 Halloween treat boxes for Cody's class, I have split them into 3 blog posts, so you'll have to stay tuned. These are for the girls in his class. I used the 3-d pyramid box from the Silhouette Store, then just used a large circle for the brim. These boxes were designed with a tab and slit closure, plus perforations for the folds....love that! Makes assembly a snappity, snap, snap, snap!

I used some paper from Little Ninja Designs, perfectly priced and perfect for Halloween. I thought I'd use polka dots for all the hats and black for each brim. I love them!

This week's FTL161 sketch was one I couldn't pass up. I have been wanting to use these cut files for some time and this sketch was perfect for them. I cut them in two complementary colors and then grounded it with some off white and a touch of green.

The sentiment and leaf image on the sentiment panel are from Color It: Autumn which was released last month and is available in rubber and digi versions.

I have taken a day off from work today. We have no Post Office delivery or banking today and since most of my job revolves around those two tasks, I opted for a long weekend. The remainder of my vacation will be in December, so it's nice to have an extra day today.

Monster Mash Blog Hop

It's October 7th and while we aren't having a release, we still love to have the hop! This month the focus is on monsters. Paper Makeup Stamps has a whole section dedicated to these creatures and you'll see quite a few of them on your way through today's hop.

I'm using Flubu monster with the sentiment that comes with him. He looks just miserable, doesn't he? I tried to channel Julie Lacey by not coloring my image and I'm not sure I have mastered this technique, but I'll keep trying.

The papers are digital papers I found on Etsy (I'll link later); I wanted a Halloween-y Get Well card for Duke's aunt.

It's Thursday and that means another sketch from My Time Made Easy, MTMEPPS30. I flipped the sketch again this week so that I could use the new Beautiful Baubles set with the new Candy Claus papers.

The ornament ensemble uses three pieces from the set; the ornament, the topper, and the bow; it was all put together in PSE and then printed. After it was colored, I put tons of Frosted Lace Stickles on it. The paper was also sized for the card; makes for less waste.

I made this super cute box to house a lovely necklace for my sweet little friend, Kristiana- she's my friend, Barb's, granddaughter, and just as sweet and cute as they come.

I cut the box out and then stamped a daisy from Verve's Grateful Elegance (?) with VersaMark. The pink ribbon was an RAK from Amy (thanks again), I thought it was perfectly fluffy and totally appropriate for this gift....Kristiana is over the top girly!

I was commissioned last week to make a couple of personalized thank you cards; I went with some simple layouts and colors since I don't know the recipient personally. Plus, the had to be a little bit masculine *wink*.

The thank you panel was designed in PhotoShop Elements and then cut out with nesties. The name was stamped onto a Lil Inker Sentiment Flag.

I loved this week's sketch, MTMEPPS28; another I never woulda come up with on my own. The half panels always seem to give me fits, but this time they worked out for me. I just love this image from Bee-Loved and have used it soooo many times. I wanted to make one last summer card since I have lots of paper left *sigh*.

Pedestal of Caramel

I've been in the mod to get ahead on Halloween projects this year and Cody is being selective in his choices for class treats.

I've been cutting away so that he has a few choices; we've decided on the girls, but the boys are stumping us. This idea was shut down initially, but he's come around...I thought it could look like a headstone (tombstone). I went ahead and decorated it up to give one of the gals at work, they love my rejects. LOL

I wanted ribbon to go around it, but I didn't want the recipient have to untie it to get the candy out. So, I striped strips of paper with a copic and then made a tiny bow to place on the top. It was then topped with a 3-d rose.

Here is a close up of the rose, so pretty; the only thing I don't like about it is that it has quite a large "lift" so it sits a little higher than I would prefer.

This month's Get Your Diva On challenge was to make a monochromatic card. I've been using lots of kraft neutrals, so I continued on.

I stamped the to go cup from Better With You, colored and then paper pieced the cup sleeve with kraft that has been crimped. The sentiment was a Verve freebie with purchase, but it matches the fonts found in Great Friend. I traced the steam with a gold AtYou Spica Glitter Pen.

The leaf cluster/ branch is from W Plus 9, Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions. I was anxious to use this week's sketch from the clean&simple blog, FTL158. The large vanilla panel was embossed using a woodgrain embossing folder.

I like this card's rustic, homespun feel; perfect to give a friend a happy thought.

Poison Apple Cart

It's so hard to get good pics of stuff like this.

I broke out my Silhouette for this project. The labels were cut using some Halloween colors; the title was typed onto the top label so it would be cut out. It was added to the side of the cart using some ribbon.

The apple is a cut file from My Time Made Easy, called An Apple a Day. Here, they were sized at 50%, then topped with a flower punch to act as the leaves. (Cody told me they look more like tomatoes to him)

I have two caramels in each apple, can't wait to bust those out!

I'll show more pics of my Halloween table as I get all the elements together; I am going for cutesy more than spooky.

Heartfelt Sympathy

I needed yet another sympathy card this week, hoping this is it for a bit. These are hard on your mojo.

This uses the usual suspects- PTI's flourishes and leaves, sentiment from Verve. I also opted for a soft color palette again with the pops of autumn color. The shape was cut with the Silhouette.

Gonna keep this short and sweet. I took a spill into the shower last night and I'm in alot of pain....my leg is anyway. This getting older is not agreeing with me at all. I injured myself last week too, almost broke my arm by bumping into a door handle too hard.

Swirly Sympathy

My boss's mother-in-law passed away after a short illness this past week. I wanted to make his family a card to let them know we were thinking about them. I always think CAS is best when trying to convey sympathies as not to overwhelm the recipient.

I used last week's FTL156 sketch. The swirl behind the image panel is from PTI- Fancy Flourishes, I believe; the sentiment is from Verve- Forever in Our Hearts.

Let's Get Together

Last weeks sketch from the clean&simple blog, FTL156, was another goodie. I wanted to use my recently acquired sets from Verve, Better With You and Sip & Savor. I am addicted to these coffee and tea sets for some reason.

Anyway, once I decided for a neutral color scheme, I set out trying to make the coffee cup have a stoneware look to it. Once I completed it, I added crystal effects over the image; it looks realistic enough for me.

The image was mounted onto a scallop circle shape cut with my Silhouette; the loopy border die is from The Cat's Pajamas.

PMS September Review Day

Today we're reviewing the September release and I get to show off with Color Kids: Star Student. Diem is the illustrator of this fabulous new line and I cannot wait to see more of 'em. I colored this one to resemble my niece, Victoria.

All of the releases are available in rubber and in digital format, so there's something for everyone.

The papers are from October Afternoon and I just colored the image to match. The file folder is one I cut with my Silhouette as is the notebook sheet inside it. The sentiment on the outside of the folder comes with the image. I then just held the folder shut with the mini paper clip.

It's a Party

My friend Barb needed some invites to her granddaughter's birthday party. The sweet girl loved the snail from Market Street Stamps, so I was asked to make 4 cards using this super sweet snail.

I went for some colorful papers and got to work. Each of the 4 cards has a different colored snail so while they're similar, they are all different too.

Once the snail was colored, I added some gems and then just added it to the card front. The sentiment is computer generated and then was die cut using Lil Inker's Rainbows and Clouds die.

All Wrapped Up for MTME

It's Thursday and that means that we have a new sketch challenge at My Time Made Easy, MTME26. This week's had me running scared, but once I got a glimpse of the new releases, I knew what I wanted to do.

I used Well Wrapped and modeled my card after the mummy wrappings. Each strip was inked with light and dark brown inks and then randomly placed on the card front.

You can't tell from the picture, but I used a AtYou Spica glitter pen on the cobweb found on the tombstone.

PMS September Blog Hop

Release Day is here! I always look forward to the hop since it's usually the first time we're seeing the hop cards/ projects too. How'd you like Jenn's card with some of the new word art we're releasing this month? She did an amazing job!

I made a shaped card for today. I also used the leaf from the new Color It: Autumn set; I just love this set. It's so whimsical and features some great images. Autumn is my favorite time of year; the smells, colors, and the food are just amazing. Plus, the heat of summer is over and we get to enjoy the cool, crisp fall air.

I embossed the acorn cap and then tucked in my leaf after I fussy cut it from cardstock. The button was threaded with some capuccino twine and then glue dotted to the acorn cap.

PMS September Sneak Peeks, Day 4

Here we are at Day 4 of the sneak peeks for the September Release. Today we're focusing on the new word art and sentiment sets.

I've used a sentiment from Thankful Essentials; there is something for everyone in this set.

I've made an award ribbon and stamped the sentiment right onto one of the flags, super cool! I tried to make it a little masculine since it'll probably be going to my son as he progresses through the school year; he needs the encouragement and I'm happy to provide it!

One of the fellas at work had a birthday last week and he's a coffee fiend. So, what a better subject for his card than a coffee cup. I used Better With You for the image and the background stamp on the die cut, Wish Big for the sentiment- all from Verve. I used FTL126 for the layout.

PMS September Sneak Peeks, Day 2

It's Day 2 of the September Sneak Peeks for Paper Makeup Stamps. Today, we're featuring babies!

Ok, so I used Shelby in silhouette form, isn't she precious?! Shelby is another of my favorite fairies, but I just don't have cause to use her enough. Silhouettes are all the rage, so this stamp will get used alot! Not to mention how much faster you can make a card since you don't have to color it in.

I found Chupa's Sketch 21 a perfect fit for my image. The shapes were cut with my Silhouette (except the plain circle). I used some pretty and soft MME papers, matted with dark grey cardstock.

It's Friday! And the Friday of a long weekend to boot! I am using another word art/ quote I designed for the Freebie Friday at Paper Makeup Stamps.

I wanted to use up more of my Echo Park scraps and this piece was sitting on my table. I just added some shapes that I cut with the Silhouette to accent the image. I really like the "nesties" like shape.
